I just have a command of thoroughly useless information. I actually had a teacher in 9th grade say this about me. I am sure that he didn't realize the lasting impression that he made on me I would take that as a compliment. I like Robin's thinking better. I had a teacher my junior year of high school tell me my intellect was only surpassed by my laziness. I realize that teacher's mis-speak just like the rest of them. But of they only truly realized which of their comments stick with their students! He really said that? Wow. sounds like we need to line up some teachers with your co-workers for a slap -fest! She was my favorite teacher. She was our English teacher. She had a couch in her classroom, I would go there during study halls and nap. I know she was just trying to push me. I slid through a lot of high school without even trying. I could do nothing and get B's. With a tiny bit of effort I'd have had A's. I also received several awards for my writing when I was in HS. A couple of them were on the national level. I know she meant no harm. She's one of my FB friends. That's okay then. My DH is the same way. She is smarter than all of us put together but has the attention span of a gnat and no follow through. When she hits her stride, she will be unstoppable. Pushing by a teacher or two may have done her some good. |
