I really wish I still had a gun.  I would enjoy shooting it right now ...  I would like that very much.

Can I go somewhere without a gun and "rent" a gun to shoot on the range?

Or should I stay home and do my jigsaw puzzle?

yes...

Reminds me, we have a friend who works at a high end gun club and she says she can let us shoot as much as we want and only charge us for the ammo...

I would LOVE to, but the wife is skurt of guns.

all the more reason to do it - then you don't need to actually own a gun or have her around a gun but still get to play guns.  makes sense to me.

That's my reasoning.  I would put a .22 in her hand for a bit, then move up.  Probably no more than 9mm unless she likes it.

I shot a desert eagle .44 once and it was VIOLENT.  I woudn't want to do that for hours.  The .50 would be intimidating.

oh...i was saying so you can play guns and she can stay far away.  i don't care if my husband plays guns but i have zero interest in it, it freaks me out.  keep it the heck away from me.

Gotcha...  But I think she should TRY.  I don't care if she likes it or not.  But maybe it will take some of the fear away?  OTOH, shooting handguns has always sort of surprised me at the violence of the act.

Not violence at people mind you, but the pure physics of it.  It's obviously a control explosion in your hand every time.  Big enough to maybe blow your hand OFF, if the gun failed.  So it's a pretty big bang.  And I forget how loud it gets indoors, even with ears on.

I said I'm out.  Think what you want.  I don't care.

That's not very TAN-like of you, literal Jim.
Rainbows and puppy dogs!

And I have a date tonight!

Maybe.  Pet peeve.  When someone starts of "I don't mean to offend, BUT" guess what's going to come next?  Something offensive, me thinks.  And I don't want to fight.

Good luck on your date!  I would love to go on a date.    Now that Tony and Monica returned mrs Kido to me I thought I could go out.  BUT, she has to work all weekend.  Boo.

I don't mean to offend you kido but you are a handsome man.

True.

A shark without his fin isn't nearly as intimidating even with a laser on his head.

BTW what color laser do you guys want?

635 nm I can do.  The problem with longer wavelength lasers is they are lower energy.  I have some nice violets (405 nm) that are really pretty that I can bring along as well.

Well, I have a laser pointer I bought from Walgreens in their checkout isle for $4.99.  So there.

And mine works on one AAA battery.

Do tell us if you find any!

I hate it when I get water in my polyphenol resin tank.

Me too, last time it cost me $30k in resin and $200k in bad product!

Are you building a super secret government shark tank?  Tell us if you are.  We can keep a secret!

I have the lasers.  Who is bringing the sharks?

Tony, after he eats their fins?

A shark without his fin isn't nearly as intimidating even with a laser on his head.

BTW what color laser do you guys want?

Red, cuz it looks like a sniper scope.

As I suspected, overreaction by a member of my management team known for such antics.  No water, and unfortunately no lasers.  Lasers might be bad since the resin is exothermic anyway.  It creates a hell of a mess when it starts to burn too! 8k gals per tank that starts to exotherm above 78 degrees F

Because the lyrics are so profound?

Maybe.

But I think I figured it out.  Mike and Mike in the morning on ESPN use 2 seconds of that song in a montage for their morning show commercial.  I just heard it again, so it must have planted the seed.
