I am not going to get upset or offended. The only thing that I don't like is the "do as I do or you are doing it wrong" type comments. But opinions? I cannot expect everybody to have the same opinion as I do. If you want to enjoy TT more follow my life mantra: I know I am right. I will try to make you see the light once. If you still disagree with me, I will nod politely, and will go my way knowing that you are wrong, I am right, and my superior knowledge gives me an edge over you in life. You know that great feeling you have of knowing something that no one else does? I walk around life with that feeling. Oh, and be humble and modest. That too. Edited by Samyg 2012-11-02 1:08 PM |

I try once or twice to be reasonable. But then yeah, I say "go for it". The few times I've said "Yeah go for it, knock yourself out!" to an obviously ridiculous question, I've gotten blasted for being snarky. Can't win!

The ones that get me are the "reasons" that are just absurd. You know, it's ok to like ice cream "just cuz" you like ice cream. But people need to justify their stance (even to the point of being rediculous), or put down why you shouldn't like cookies. That's my answer for a lot of things. "just because". There was a perfect segment of the recent South Park about that. "where you considering the farmer in Bolivia when you wore that braclette, is that why you are making this stance?" "no, I just like it". But what fun would that be if we just agreed to disagree? |

I said no - not safely, and they got all pizzed off about it and said "in the military we adapt, improvise, overcome." and has what it take to do it compare to your run of the mill mortals... I responded with somethign like "the people that do IM's have no shortage of drive and persiverance - the military did not corner the market on heart and dedication." That went over well with him.
I try once or twice to be reasonable. But then yeah, I say "go for it". The few times I've said "Yeah go for it, knock yourself out!" to an obviously ridiculous question, I've gotten blasted for being snarky. Can't win!
I have been tempted. But that's just mean. "Wow! Stunning as always" "um, not really". I've been tempted too as well. |
