I know I'm WAY over simplifying it...  But I'm entitled to my kids as much as she is.  If she wants to move, leave the kids, or she doesn't move.  I wouldn't put much more thought into it.

Don't move or leave the kids.  Period.

"What's good for the kids" is being with their father as they are entitled to.  Not a city.

Don't have to be nasty about it, but there is no point in discussing any other options if it were me.

Is she bringing her drift king boyfriend?

Great reply Kido and he's her husband while I do jest about him I also show him the respect of the title he has

makes sense to me.  i wouldn't allow it either.  i say this as the child of a father who moved to california for 7 years less than a year after he divorced my mom.  granted, he had no interest in being a part of our lives and she had no interest in making him stay, but 2 parents that claim to want to co-parent would not put an entire country in between themselves.

lisac957 - 2012-08-14 10:40 AM And, if she really wants a house and land for cheap, suggest Kansas. I can keep an eye on them, muhahahahaaaa

i was actually thinking of you when i was talking about our high cost of living in va...i remember you once posted that a new yoga studio opened and had an $8 drop in rate and you were shocked at the cost...here the best i can do is $15 and that INCLUDES my student discount!

Yep, $20 minimum to drop in here.  That's rediculous since my gym membership is less than 40 a month and it includes tons of classes including yoga (granted, a gym yoga class doesn't compare to an "official" one).  But still

I knew she wasn’t serious about putting the kids first when she wouldn’t even consider my proposal yesterday.

I suggested that I get the kids this year and they go to the same school while she moves there to see how she likes it with the culture change, weather, and totally alien place to her. The kids will visit and go there for the summer and they can see how they like it. After a year the kids living conditions and education can be evaluate to see if a change is needed or if the kids would like to live in VA. This was shot down because in her view the kids belong with her. I thought it was a decent way to see the reality of my situation and hers.

I have no understanding why, but this reminded me of something.

I saw an african american little person the other day.  Nothing much to say about that in general - I don't look at little people as a joke or anything.  BUT this guy, he was going for the "thug look".  Pants below the butt, wife beater tee, and a sideways hat...

I didn't even crack a smile, but inside, I was sort of laughing when he walked by and barely was taller than mid thigh.  His low jeans and gangster image failed to instill fear for some reason.

Seriously - just a quick search. They need updating but don't they all. These are just outside of "the city." Houses are really cheap here, compared to the rest of the country. My "prime" location house in a historical neighborhood cost me less than $125K. COME TO KANSAS! hahaa

That's rediculous.  You can get the same size house here, but not on 5 acres.  Sheesh

But that's a lot of mowing (or growing corn/combining)
