I wonder if Stacie got stuck in her spare room/closet with all the junk and her family is looking for her?

i'm here.  i'm here.  i'm here!

the beast of a room wasnt as beastly as i thought.

a bag for garbage.

a bag for Goodwill.

a bag for my friend whose son is a few years younger than my youngest.

and (ashamed to admit it) Christmas decorations that my dh STILL needs to put up in the attic.

i suppose he's figuring that in 2 1/2 months he'll have to take them down from the attic, so why bother.  LOL.

once i get all the bags outta there and get on my dhs case for procrastinating, it will be an empty room.

why we even bothered buying a 4 bedroom house, when we had a perfectly fine 3 bedroom.

we thought it would be nice for the boys to all have their own rooms (and im sure at some point they will)

but my middle and my youngest have been sharing a room since my youngest was born.

sometimes now they even end up in the same bed together even though theres bunkbeds.

ahhhh.  brotherhood.

im gonna leave my speedwork for a rainy day when i go to the Y and run on the TM (Wed/Thurs)

I heart BBQ baked chicken, and I'm only 3 1/2ish hours from Pittsburgh. If you have leftovers...

mndymond - 2009-10-05 4:28 PM Also, I forgot to share my funny story of yesterday...

So I finished my part of the relay and my friend who did the first run took my bike and leaned it up against a pole so I could go and get my wet clothes off...I changed and when I came back to my bike (maybe 5min max later) and there were probably about 10 guys all standing around my bike just staring at it...haha

It kind of made my day---maybe I should name my bike "the man magnet"...lol...

that's great !!

kromanowski - 2009-10-05 4:33 PM You see my DH does 99% of the cooking since I work 80-90 hours a week

sweet.   But how does that leave any time for life outside of work and then you add in training.  Wow!  Impressive

what the???...and you find time to run? when? in your sleep? my hat is off to you! way to find time to train and spend some time with your husband. what takes soo much of your time???

I am a surgery resident...80-90 is the worst that it gets...right now I am in the lab doing basic science research for a year so I work around 60-70( I work 10-12 hour days 5 days a week and then take one over night call)...thats how I get the running in...Not sure how I will do it when I am back to full clinical duty next summer...I will find a way... The human body can survive on surprisingly little sleep.

kromanowski - 2009-10-05 4:37 PM I get to leave work on time today...that is a rarity!  So on that note I am going to go...I will probably check in later!

or not! time to go spend a quality nite with the old 99% cooking hubby! have a nice evening Katie.

Thanks Jules!!  I took your advice and just hung with the hubby!  Luckily I only have 3 pages to catch up on!

Oh to be a surgeon...how far into your residency are you?

PS...when do you sleep? I guess I'll rephrase...how do you sleep doing residency and tri training?? (This is the question I have for my future...)

I am in year 4 of 7.

Right now I am in a research lab for a year so that makes training possible as I only am working 60-70 hours a week right now...Not sure I will be able to keep up tri training when I am back to clinical duty...but I plan to continue running and biking...the pool is harder because there are only certain hours that they are open.  I usually am home from work by 7 or 8 pm which means I can get a quick ride on the trainer done or a quick run.

Close your ears Jules...I am thinking of getting a treadmill so I don't have to run on the streets of Chicago at 9 at night

Maybe we should send a search party in...who is closest to Pennsylvania?

Never mind...I had not gotten to page 80 where Stacie reappeared!

Question of the Day: Does anyone else have a mental block when it comes to going beyond a certain distance?  And if you did and have pushed past it how did you do it?

Mine is the 6 mile mark...I am fine running 5 miles, 6 miles I have done once or twice and am reasonably ok but I (mentally) freak out when I think about doing anything more...I have never gone further than six.
