bcart1991 - 2008-07-18 3:29 PM Ohhh I LOVE Sonic burgers. I had to go without for SO LONG until they built one a couple years ago. Good thing it's on the other side of the interstate from me, or I would be in trouble...
They have some fantastic shakes too... Their fries leave a bit to be desired... onion rings are okay.

I see their commercials for all their specialty shakes all the time and wish there was one near me. But it's probably better b/c I'd weigh 200 lbs  - and ice cream sometimes makes my tummy sad.

(((Hug)))

BUT this is the kind of stuff threads get yanked over..  talking about non TANNers..  I know it's all good comments..  but let's be careful

Also saying things against any race, religion, haircolor, etc will also get a TAN yanked

No, I wasn't trying to infer anything bad about any one particular person. Just that certain issues were brought up that could get ugly.

I TOTALLY understand that I'm just saying that mentioning BTers by name that don't participate in TAN in TAN seems to cause a lot of problems   I was just trying to say it in a gentle way..

Sorry Fixing now...

I am REALLY working to bring my weight undercontrol.. So I decided to 'relearn' my eating habbits through weightwatchers... go ahead.. laugh if you like.. i needed something to make me accountable.. anyway.. i'm on week 2 and i'm starving and i feel like DIRT.. i would KILL for a cheeseburger, curly fries and milkshake right now

It wouldn't be so hard to resist if I didn't feel weak, cranky, headachhy and neaseous

I find that beer or alone time work for that.

And by alone time, I mean running.

It is okay to take one cheat day, right??? You can just jump right back on that wagon aftet your 39 point meal...

Couple of girls at work just started... They gave me the test to see how many points I could have in a day... I would starve.

bcart1991 - 2008-07-18 12:19 PM I haven't eaten McD's in forever. It's just not appetizing any more. THough I do love a good fatburger from Checker's about once every 3 months or so. EDIT: Five Guys is win. We need one here in D-Vegas.

There is a Five Guys up in Lawrenceville and one over near the big outlet place that's at the end of 400

My friend lost about 35 pounds in a year on WW. She really stuck with it even in the face of hanging out with ME!

I knew a few girls in college who were already thin and basically used it to starve themselves. Sharkie can explain, but from what I know, food is assigned certain point values, and you can only eat so many points in a day. I remember girls not eating breakfast so they could save the "points" for beer later on, or picking toppings off pizza or whatever because it was too many points, etc. Stupid.

But apparently it works very well with folks who are trying to actually lose weight - it doesn't deny you anything. Just teaches portion control and moderation.

Yeah, there's one in Austell, and one over in Vinings near some friends' place.

Ooh, I might get to have it Sunday working on the Bimmer up in Suwannee. There's one like 2 miles from my friend's shop. Woot.

There are several in the DC area. And they just built one in my hometown in Upstate NY. Even their freakin' grilled cheese (with tomatoes...mmm) is good. I'm trying not to eat a lot of red meat, so it's a happy substitute and you get a pound of fries every time.

It has WORKED for a lot of friends and family members over the years..  And I'm getting to be sooooooo much of a fat arse..  I laugh at myself sometimes..  it sounds so simple.. people make it sound simple..  eat better.. use portion control and workout.. easy...  Well it's just not that easy for me

Anyway.. every food has 'points'  points are based on Calories, Fat and Fiber.. You get a set number of "points" per day..  Plus you get some extra points to indulge in over the week..  You stay in your points budget you are good to go..  You also earn points for workouts..  I'm still in the beginning so I'm not tweaking it yet..  I did promise myself 8 good weeks of 'clean' eating except for one 'cheat' meal a week..

And I already had my cheat meal..  Wed night.. I had a party for my husband and son..  Steak, Salad, Pasta and Cake

Larkie if we hung out all the time you'd probably lose a lot of weight. :p

BOOYAH!

Sadly.. The more you train the less 'extra' activities raise your HR..  NOT that it's any LESS fun..  it just doesn't always hit the cardio zone..

Well, I figure a permanent state of inebriation would mean I might actually find you entertaining.
