QueenZipp - 2008-11-09 8:47 PM So the choices to name the new bike are Bleu (kinda quirky but it lacks zing) or Saphira (doesn't quite roll out with impact though)

I like Bleu better. Saphira makes me think of the Eragon books.  Could modify Bleu a bit...Bluebell?

Well Bleu isvery French... maybe another French word to make her all exotic and things???

Well, then just turn Bluebell into "Bleu belle." Et voila, it's like French. Kinda, anyway. LOL
I thought of that...reminded me of TinkerBell

QueenZipp - 2008-11-10 1:39 PM I just made a bunch more photo albums. Getting the hang of that feature!  YAY

Way to go!!!

The hardest part is actually loading the flash drive from the camera and down loading the pictures.  I know how many times I have to hit "half" to edit the picture to a size the site will take now

Yeah thats really the fiddly bit! And time consuming too...

Done making calls...

It's a game we've kind of adopted.  When my mom was alive and the kids were younger, my mother LOVED to play the game (she passed away from breast cancer about 4 years ago).  My mom was pretty sharp and always beat us.  My wife and kids and I got to the point where it was our goal to beat 'Lola' (Tagalog for grandma) whenever we visited.  We eventually got to the point where we could beat her occasionally.  My youngest son is a math wiz.  Either that or she let us win!

Very fond memories and something our kids will always remember.

it is most awesome that you have a memory like that

Artemis - 2008-11-09 9:15 PM I think I'm going to knit for a bit. I finally found a pattern I like and can do and got on the right number of stitches (that took 4 tries!!!). So, now I just have to be careful and not screw up. Ugh.

otherwise you'll have to frog

did I get that right?

Yep!

Hows the finger you poked?

It was actually the heel of my hand.  I brought it down on the needles in a bag.  It's ok now, but it really hurt at the time.  Apparently, I'm clumsy or something.

Hi Kitty Cat!

Hi Yanti! Im pretty sure it means nothing to anyone but me!!1

Just ran into the cycle guy in the hallway... Im not getting much out of him in  terms of info outside of cycling so Im mentally trying to remind myself that I am NOT a 16 year old school girl who gets hopeless long term crushes on men...

I figure posting it here Im held accountable I guess.. Im sure I *think* I have a crush on him because he lets me talk about my favourite topic and really I have no reason for having any interest in him at all... really I just like his knowledge....

(can you hear me trying to talk myself out of it?

It is *wonderful* to feel like you're 16 and giddy and giggly and crushy and yet have the wisdom and maturity of being much older.

You rock on.

thanks Yanti - just got to be careful not to put a foot wrong I think. He is going to be a wonderful resource of cycling knowledge and the occassional break from work to talk my favourite topic so  I dont want to put him off side by scaring him away because I seem overly interested...

Oh well... imagine how much fun its going to be when I start to meet more cycling nuts and realise there are LOTS of them... Im sure my crush will fade with that!
