Hey guys...just finished a killer workout of best average 100's...check the set out if you wish...gong show

I love the coach who coaches my group on Thursdays (literally...yaya i know)...I went to high school with him and swam with him for years...haha...he's 23...But he's always been able to get me to work and perform no matter how tired and crappy I feel...gong show # 2

Have a run on tap for tomorrow...and a 16km on sat and I have to race on Sat night (swimming time trial)...ridiculous I know..haha...but I only entered myself in 50fr, 50back and 100back due to the fact I have a 16km run earlier on in the day...gong show # 3

iowagander - 2010-02-11 10:39 AM I have another Ghoulie Question:

Have any of you ever had a stress fracture? I've been having persistent pain on my left leg, and it feels like it's between my calf muscle and tibia, with the pain sometimes spreading all around my upper calf and shin area.

I'll be extremely disgruntled if I have a stress fracture, because there's a HM in 3 months I really want to run. Still, I definitely do NOT want to do anything that will cause more harm in the long run. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ghoulies!

medial or lateral of the tibia?

I don't speak medical The easiest way for me to explain is it feels like the top of the tibia, below the joint, between the calf muscle and back/inside of the bone. I'm gonna go see Medical tomorrow and see if I need an xay or something. Should be fun!

Considering the physical nature of the military you'd think the medics/docs would know more about sports medicine, but here's what my diagnosis/treatment will be, guaranteed: strained muscle, 800MG Motrin, no running for 5-7 days. (Bill, back me up on this one!)

Inside, but after my run yesterday/softball today the pain kinda went all the way around.

Hey all. Not lost interest, Bill. Just life is acting up again. One of my very best friends lost her dad and she is not doing very well with it. I'll check in when I can. Anyone heard from the Queen yet?

Back for a very short bit.  I pm'd Stacie but haven't heard from her yet.  Robin, sorry about your friend's loss.  Good that you are there for her.

I had a bit of a scare this morning.  Still not sure of the total scope.  I was at work early (ran on the tready in the office gym) when a friend called to tell me there was heavy smoke in my neighborhood.  I live in a small development of 80 townhomes. I took off for home and when I got there found the place overrun with firetrucks and emergency vehicles.  There was a bad fire in one of the units.  Total loss.  Fortunately everyone got out.  It was in the building next to mine.  Each bldg has 5 units.  It is 3 units away from mine.  Smoke is horrible.  The whole thing still has me a bit shaken.  More later.

Amen. I'm leaving early today too. Unfortunately it's to go to the doctor for my wife, but at least I get to start my weekend a little early. Quiet day in here today so far...

wgraves7582 - 2010-02-12 6:58 AM Wow - you guys really have me worried - Have the Ghoulies lost interest?

So my day started off with a "proposal" sent to my boss and my director asking for permission to be gone from June 3rd to the July 4th weekend and ride my bike with my buddy and pastor from Mobile, AL to Buffalo, NY on the Underground Railroad.

If it gets approved I will provide a lot more detail to you guys.  Should be interesting!

Bill, that sounds like an incredible time! Is this another one of your "unsanctioned" events, or just something you and your friends want to do? Either way, good luck with your "proposal!"
