pbrown70 - 2011-03-07 9:37 AM Had a nice ride yesterday we ended up doing 52.5 miles. There were about 25 rides so the pace line was fun. The pace lines seem to make a big difference. I felt like I could have rode all day at the 20 mph pace we were on. The bike fit made a big difference I was much more comfortable on the bike. The only draw back was one of the aero bars came lose about half way thur the ride.

You use about 30% less energy when drafting than when pulling by yourself.  Makes higher speeds a lot easier.

Quiet day here yesterday.

Kind of icy outside this morning  but supposed to warm up.  Recovery run this morning and then a trainer ride tonight.  I'm a little sore today from lifting yesterday, not as bad as last week but not fantastic.

I took yesterday off instead of today.  I was a little tired yesterday.  Just finished 1 hour 5 minutes on trainer.  Have a great day

I just read the rest of the thread.  My goodness, some people can be so rude.  For the most part, people are helpful and kind on this site, but sometimes I am blown away by the way people talk to one another!!!  Ignore that dude.  Responses like that don't help anyone.

why 1:07, not 1:05 or 1:10?   kelly is the only other person with such rides on her plan.

It was a distance thing... 20 miles + 1 mile warm down.
That's just where it ended up...

Eh.  That's pretty tame as most forums go, just not this one.  Dude woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  Personally would have asked him if it was that time of the month but probably would have just egged him on.  Easy to be an e-thug halfway across the country.

I get this all the time from my MIL.  She asked me at 190 if I planned to lose more weight because I was starting to look sickly.  Really???  My buddies who lift make fun of the incredible shrinking man.  Do you.  Whatever makes you comfortable and happy go for it.  The idea of what is "normal" in today's America just isn't what it should be IMO.

Today is an off day for me s/b/r wise.  Lifted, stretched, and foam rolled this morning.  Leg feels really good.  Going for a 5-6 miler tomorrow morning weather permitting.

13 mile run Saturday... I was happy that my knees didn't complain at all during or after.

40 mile bike with Steve (ABQTJ) on Sunday. We had a good 'ole time for the first 20 miles - then turned around and realized we had a decent wind at our backs the whole time. There wasn't nearly as mush talking on the return portion of our ride. :-)

4000 yrds in the pool yesterday - I was invited to workout with a female pro and we did the workout she brought. It was a much tougher 4000 that I usually swim - but, change is good.

Today, I hope, is the first day of my LT class in the park. After that, I may jump in the pool for a bit.

I have a bit of catching up to do... work really got in the way of my workouts last week.

i would take that with a grain of salt, the one thing i have seen on internet forums is people have as big of balls like they just drank a 6 pack, beer muscles and internet muscles are interchangeable. most crap posted would never be told to your face. such is the way society is, as long as they have no consequence, they have no issues opening their trap. Internet anonimity is an amazing thing.

Keep up the good work, let people yap

LOL.  Crack for athletes.  I always say that when you find a nutritional product you like the taste of buy 2 boxes of them because they'll never stay in stock.

Bought my 1st wetsuit today.  Sleeveless one from Xterra.  Feels weird buying stuff in a Medium.

I'll put some up when it gets here and y'all can see my wonderful farmers tan from wearing cycling jerseys out the last few weekends.  For those familiar with the Xterra suits it's their mid priced sleeveless suit.

High Desert was giving away from Stinger Waffles?!?!?!! DANG IT!

Back in the pool today for me. I've been "bad" the last couple of days (it was my bday yesterday) so besides the good ride Sunday, not much in the way of eating well or training. Today I'm back at it though! 2000 yd swim.
