Are we going to talk about a sport that no American watches???  While we're at it can we talk about the Bruins winning last night??  Goes and hides in corner because there are a bunch of Yankees in this group.

Seriously though wish I knew more about pro cycling but I'm just learning about pro triathletes.  Of course I have a ton of time because the Astros are so bad it would be torture to watch them on TV.

Put in 2k meters this morning of nothing but catch drills and balance drills.  Also figured out I have a really bad kick and no idea how to sight.

Who was a total disaster yesterday at the Tour de Suisse!

Who has more TdF stage wins than any other rider in history and is only 26?

Plus, he's hot and has that Isle of Man accent.  I love my Manx Missile!

Yeah, he's ok.  An amazing sprinter, but the hottest sprinter is Tom Boonen.  He may not be the brightest, but he's certainly nice to look at.

You don't watch TdF?  Give it one year, and I guarantee you'll be hooked!  No tennis players please!

I love the TdF when I can catch it.  It kinda goes in the category of "If it's on I'll watch, but I'm not going out of my way to make time."

I like Cav, my wife not so much. And of course he has more stage wins, that's the nature of the Sprinters, I don't think it speaks to his overall cycling talent. He's a great sprinter and that's it.

And one of the monuments of cycling -- Milan San Remo.  Plus he's a two time Madison world champion (and if Wiggins wasn't burnt out they'd have an Olympic medal as well).

The swimsuit edition of Triathlete is fine (although I tihnk they could have found hotter triathelete models).  Tennis players, not so much (although hot runners or swimmers would be appropriate as well).

Yeh, TdF is awesome and starts in a couple weeks . . . although its hard to watch with Lance not there anymore.

For anyone not in the sport who sees you watching it  . . . they will say it is like watching paint dry, but the mountain climbs are the best . . . and where all the action happens . . . and the landscapes they cycle through are just gorgeous!!!

Ok, so with all this talk of favorite / hot athletes -- who is your favorite athlete (let's keep it to triathletes, swimmers, bikers and runners).

My favorite triathelte is Terrenzo Bozzone.

And as everyone know, Cav is my favorite cyclist.

I am still learning triathlete names, so I had to google HOt Female Triathletes.  Apparently Lokelani mcMichael is the youngest female ever to complete Kona.  Who cares, she's hot!!

OMG, CRAIG ALEXANDER, TOTALLY HOT and got that quiet confidence going on.  And we have the same bike (mine is red though . . . and not used very much )  He needs an aero helmet though.  Lance for a cyclst or Alberto Contador is pretty awesome --- love the way he "dances" on the peddles going up the mountains!!!

So kind of a silly question, but you see alot of KSWISS athletes in the triathlons, especially Kona. They all wear the gear and run in the shoes.  So do they just happen to be able to use KSWISS shoes or they engineer a shoe for them.  I mean, what if Miranda is really an Asics Kayano girl (that's what her body and feet really like), but being on the KSWISS team she has to wear their gear.  How does that work?

You run in the shoes of your sponsor whether they're your top preference or not.  Most shoe companies (K Swiss included) have a pretty wide range of shoes to choose from and look for athlete input with regard to the development of new products.  That being said, sometimes athletes jsut have to make it work (there are several stories about Michielle Jones and Crowie filing the lugs off of their Newtons).

Yep the pay you to wear their stuff.  Don't sign the sponsorship deal if you don't like the gear or just deal.

biking is a total bore to watch.  as is swimming, running, and triathlon.  They are fun to do, except  biking, hate the bike.  its what separates a nice swim from a great run.

i would happily be the clydesdale filling in a Rinnie-Loki sandwich.

Rinnie is a real talent, Loki will have a great modeiling career.  I still have a thing for Sma Mcglone, something about those canadian redheads.

(BTW, i beat Rinnie in warm ups in Rev3, she didnt know we were racing but WINNER!)
