Happy MONDAY! I am off to go get blood drawn and get an allergy shot. I wonder which I should do first?

What did you do this weekend.

WAIT.. I am getting a cup of coffee so I can keep up, your weekends are chock full. Tires me out to read about them .

Okay.. coffee full

shoot!

This weekend wasn't too bad. Was up late Friday and Saturday night because of the fireman's carnival, so I slept in. Saturday morning, I stayed in bed until almost 8:00, Keri slept until after 9:00. Caleb started mowing the yard while I made breakfast. After we all ate we went to the pet store, went and got Keri soccer cleats, then grocery shopped. Came home and Donnie finished mowing before the rain came while the kids and I put the groceries away. Then they got showered up and ready to go in and help in the dining hall for the carnival. I went in a little later and called Bingo for awhile. Hung out at the carnival until a little after 9:00 then Caleb and I came home. I stayed up until a little after 10:00 then I went to bed.

Slept in a bit on Sunday morning. Putzed around the house until the afternoon when we went into the park for softball practice. Practiced for 2.5 hours, then I ran/walked the 2.9 miles home. Showered, ate, watched Downton Abbey on my ipad until bedtime.

Kinda tame for us.

You still got a bunch in! Sometimes you all need to recharge.

I am off to get "stuck". I am going to buy a bushel of peaches. I am going to miss them completely this year if I don't get my act together.

Later.

My SIL dropped off some peaches and nectarines on Saturday morning, Keri has been hitting the peaches hard, not so much with the nectarines.

Good day ghoulies!

survived the car ride to get the grandsons.  Stopped at Barber Motorsports to break up the trip.  they have 1200 motorcycles and 43 Astor race cars among other vehicles.  The boys all had a great time there.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I got Caleb started on the Nike+ trainer on the xbox last night. He was dripping sweat when he was done with the initial testing but he said it was fun. We have the xbox setup in the basement, so we can play on the movie screen. I am going to have to remove a ceiling tile or two because when he does the jumps he was almost hitting his head on the ceiling. I actually think he could have jumped higher but he knew he was close.

Tonight is Keri's BIG GAME, the league championship game is tonight. The team they're playing is good, but so was the team they beat last week. Only one way to find out who's going to win tonight... PLAY BALL!

Normally he wakes her up around 7 to take her down to grandma's for breakfast. He let her sleep in this morning, since it is going to be a late night, and told Caleb to take her down on the 4-wheeler when she got up. She woke up at 7:30 as he was walking out the door. They're at grandma's now having pancakes and BACON!

A few years ago when I started working out, running, swimming, biking, lifting, yoga, whatever... no one in my family was supportive. NO ONE. I had friends go to races with me, but no family. My family was very negative about the whole thing.

Now... my sister is training for a 5k and all of a sudden running is the greatest thing in the world, and she's posting all these things about running and stuff. I'm happy for her, I'm trying to be supportive, but a part of me just doesn't care. She still doesn't say anything about me running, although she did ask me to do the 5k with her, and I am going to sherpa for her family since she is going to do the MC10K, and her husband and son are doing the marathon.

It's just frustrating that when I was starting out I got no support but she expects me to be super ecstatic for her. Plus I bought her a Fitbit Flex, that's $100 out of my pocket, and she wore it for 2 days and doesn't wear it anymore. I asked for it back if she isn't going to wear it, but she won't give it back to me either. I'll find someone else who will wear it.

Robin, when I rule the world I am going to give you the territory of NC to reign over however you see fit. Please try not to drop too many bodies in the middle of the ocean at once though, we don't want the sharks overeating.

It is funny how people are. When I was dieting and lost all my weight 4 years ago, I had a friend who was totally non-supportive (she is now a former friend )

Now she is dieting and OMG, the world must support her! It is as if she personally invented good nutrition. My hubbie and I laugh.

That seems how it is with a lot of things with my sister.

She constantly comments how she never texts our mom anymore because my mom doesn't reply to her. Yet I frequently don't get replies to texts I send my sister... or phone calls... or emails.

It's frustrating, and draining.

Here's the deal... you're 18? You vote. It doesn't matter what color you are, or what religion you are, whether you're male or female, where you live, or any other demographic. If you're old enough to vote you go vote. It's as simple as that.

Good morning Ghoulies!

What a night, a very short night.

We lost the game in extra innings but the girls played GREAT! The team we lost to was a travel team you have to try out for. And our girls almost won, we couldn't have asked them to play any harder than they did. Keri had the game of her life, and she took a beating as catcher and kept on playing. Our pitcher, Hannah, won the MVP award, the pitchers always seem to win it, but I think Keri could have as easily been given the award. She had 3 hits, bringing in 4 of our 6 runs, and she scored the other 2. She also threw a girl out at second, and 2 at third. Between innings the umpire would walk over to the fence where we were sitting and make small talk with the spectators. Toward the end of the game he said to the group 'Have you seen how awesome this catcher is, her parents must be proud'. My mother in law said They are, and pointed to my husband and said That's her dad. The umpire said she was doing a fantastic job out there and he was really impressed. Near the end of the game, when the other team tied it up I saw her crying and I thought she was upset. After the game I went to her and she told me she had gotten hit by the bat in her arm and that's why she was crying. She had a good sized knot on her forearm. She also got hit there by a runner. She took 3 balls off of her facemask behind the plate, and she had a girl step on her foot, which left a bruise and tore up some skin. She got to bed just before midnight. She's still sleeping. I'm not going to wake her. It really was a great game, I just wish the outcome could have been a little different.

It sounds like a great game and close enough that you could call it a win! Gives them something to work for... kicking that team's butt next time. Keri is an animal for sure. Arnica cream is great, no, fantastic for helping bruises to heal fast! sounds like she may need an industrial size tube.

Give her a hug for me when she wakes up!

I'm sorry that Keri's team did not win, but I knew that she would rock the game.  She is one tough kid!  I know you are super proud of her.
