Artemis - 2008-08-08 12:57 PM So we decided yesterday that we are going to go to Mexico at the end of November for a friend's wedding. Originally we couldn't afford it, but we found some really cheap plane tickets. But now I have to get a new passport. I don't think I need to expedite, but I don't really know. Anyone have any insight?
Where in Mexico. I'll be Puerta Vallarta over Thanksgiving week. I paid for mine to be expedited last year and it still took them about 6 weeks.

We're going to Playa del Carmen.  It's across the bay from Cozumel.  So, we're flying into Cancun because that's a lot cheaper than Cozumel.

Expedite seems to be the word of the day.

The grand Canyon
Great Smoky Mountains
Yellowstone
Natchez Trace (Sweet!  I bike on this all the time!)
Statue of Liberty
Amsterdam
Stonehenge
Colosseum
London
Tuscany

My list is kinda short, too.  But do I get bonus points for seeing one every day?

My list. As you can see, I'm not much of a world traveler, but I have been all over the US. I am amazed that they don't have more stuff from the PNW. The Cascades are beautiful as well as the temperate rainforest, and the Oregon coast.

The grand Canyon
Charleston
Monument Valley
Great Smoky Mountains
Mount Rushmore
San Francisco Bay Area
Yellowstone
Vancouver

It can't be much worse then mine. The only time I've ever been out of the country was going to Canada and the Caribbean.

Come on you are TinkerBeth - you have seen them all

Or yes it is that is why you need to pay for us ALL to go see them together

well, I have seen them all, but it's from so high up there when I'm flying that I don't think it really counts - LOL!

Afternoon & happy Friday, Nibbs.

I am too old to go drinking with my friends. This morning - well, heck - this whole day thus far has been painful.

Lesson learned.

Presentations the rest of the day and then fly home tonight. No training, 'cause I feel like I'm gonna die. Still. Many bottles of water and diet Pepsi later.

Sorry Kristen  - but your post did make me giggle just a little

mostly because I've learned that lesson a few times myself - somehow it doesn't really seem to stick though - I eventually forget that I'm too old and I try it again

Hey as the saying goes: If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.  That is why I have an adirondack chair on my porch that I inhabit all the time!  It hurts too much to drink anymore   Plus, it effects your training!

I don't have a porch. Musta been what drove me to drink.

I know exactly where you will be. We usually stay at a resort that is inbetween Cancun and Play de Carmen. You will enjoy it there. Do you dive?
