wgraves7582 - 2010-04-26 8:08 AM A picture from our camping/biking trip last week.  I wish I could say he could ride the stones but he was too worried - I did but biffed it on the roots climbing out of it though - that is why he stopped and walked I think

Looks like fun!

mchally - 2010-04-26 11:50 AM Google maps now has a beta program for biking directions.  I needed to send them an email to amend the directions...one of the streets has become a barricaded dead end with a very steep slope covered in blackberries before starting up again  Not the best biking option...or driving option for that matter.

Don't let Tim see this - he would ride up then run hill sprints with pushups involved or some torture like that - LOL!

I resemble that remark!

OK, A-Team...  Being the numbers geek that I am I had to go see how we stand compared to that "B Team"...

                     A-Team                 Team B
Goal 1           54.4%                   59.5%
Goal 2           68.5%                   63.5%
Goal 3           67.5%                   78.6%
Goal 4           57.1%                   63.7%

Overall          62.5%                   66.7%

What does this all mean?  We are getting our butts kicked!!

Come on A-Team!!!  Let's get out there this week and turn this around!!!

With that said...  I should hit 100% of my bike but it will take me to the end of the month.  I'll get 105% of my swim tomorrow.  And I should get 105% of my run and 100% of my goal 4, but again it's going to take me till the end of the month.

How are you all looking?

I must hang my head in shame.  It seems like I've been working hard this month, but I'm lagging in my goals.  And, my OWS goal got waylaid by the weather.  I'm hoping to at least get one swim done.

I'm likely not going to make my swim goal.  I'll probably get to about 80-85%.  I should hit 105 on my other goals...so overall I'll be close to about 95-100%

I have not updated since I have been out of town. It will be better from me. Swimming is still a crap shoot but I will have the strength, run and bike at 100%. Swim is out of my control, Ma nature has it from here.

I needed this for motivation today.  Thanks!  I was talking myself out of training today but I managed to get out tonight for a run and some strength training at the gym.

I should hit everything by the end of the month except maybe my bike goal.  I might be short a session or two there.  I'm not sure if I can make up the missed workouts this week.

Good morning A-Team.  I got in a LOOOOONG 6+ mile treadmill run this morning.  Felt like about 3 hours!  Would someone be so kind as to update my #'s in the spreadsheet?  As I've said before, I don't have access to it here at work and the first post on this thread doesn't have the login/password info.  Much appreciated...

Swim workouts - 4
Bike workouts - 7
Run workouts - 8
Posts this month - 129

So that puts me at 100% for runs, 87.5% for bike, 50% for swim and 129% for posting (oops).  My training plan for the rest of the month has 2 more bike rides, 1 more run and 2 more swim sessions, so I should be right around 100% overall for the month.

Oh, and by the way... I FINALLY dropped my bike off at the LBS for the spring tune up and to get the gear shifter fixed (yes, the one that broke during the HIM last September).  My bike guy said he'd have it ready by Friday, which is perfect since I have a long bike ride planned for Saturday... OUTSIDE!  Yay Spring!

Wow I can't believe I am reading about Rain and someone glad to be at work -

Hope it clears up Tim!

The sad part is that he's sending it my way and by the time it reaches Utah, it'll be snow.  Yeah that's right the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday in Utah when its almost May is two days of snow. To think it was about 80 yesterday.  I'm blaming you Tim.

Hellloooooo A-Team!

I got back from Louisville on Sunday, but I'd asked for an extra vacation day yesterday for recovery.  And I think it worked, because I'm totally not sore at all today from my race on Saturday.

I posted a race recap in my blog for anyone interested.  Basically it was a lot hillier than I'm used to so I had to walk up a lot of the hills the second half.  BUT, I'm am now officially a marathoner, and I'm pretty sure it'll be easy to post a PR when I do the Chicago Marathon in October Smile

As for current training... I took 2 days completely off from my race.  I was going to jump back in with a trainer ride this morning and a swim after work.  Unfortunately something weird happened with my tire, and it was completely flat and wouldn't pump back up.  I've never changed a flat before, but have seen it done.  So it took me about 45 min to change the flat.  Actually, changing the flat wasn't hard; I just was having problems getting it back on since it was the rear wheel and I couldn't seem to get the chain lined up and everything.  By the time it was ready and pumped back up, I was covered in grease and had to get ready for work!

So yeah, I'll get my swim in after work and if I'm feeling good, I'll hop on the trainer when I get home.  If not, I might be short on my bike goal this month.  I'm already over 100% for my run, and the swim & yoga goals should be cake.
