Lucky you're still young. According to J, if we broke up, I'm already considered a cougar. Ha!

No we have some folks on here with young kids and still making some.

Cougar hua? You could be friends with my ex than

Why would you wish that on her?  I can be a cougar from time to time .. that doesn't mean I am like your ex.

^^^^^Exactly! That was just mean of him.

You should adopt. I think you'd make a good mom.  It's sad to me when good, smart people choose not to have kids.  My sister is in the same boat.  Somewhere, there's a baby that needs good, smart parents.  Just my $.02.

Nope. Not weird at all. Seen friends and family members go through such difficulties for something they want so much. I've felt guilty at times for having it "easy" and only wanting 2 kids. And, you're right. The man can only feel a fraction of it.

Wish I had some fantastic advice. Frown

How about this: My wife has so much closer a connection to our kids and I am certain it's because she made them with her own body.  I love my kids, but I could never imagine how much more making a human in your body would connect you to that person.  I fully agree that we have it easy, but Moms get all the love first.

That's why Mother's Day is a huge deal with flowers and brunch and mimosas while Father's Day means a discount on nose-hair-trimmers...

i think mother's day (and father's day, to be perfectly fair) are stupid holidays.  although both my dad and my husband could DEFINITELY use some nose hair trimmers...

(also, not looking for a justification to get pregnant.  i really don't want any part of that business.  if anything, you have pushed me more towards adopting because i want my husband to get all the love too.  if interactions with the puppies are any indication, he's certainly the lover and i'm the boss!)

I love how she left out that she actually and very seriously bit me during her contractions with our 2nd.  I just sat there and cringed as her teeth went deeper and deeper into my shoulder.

On the age thing, I look at it as slightly disconcerting that my daughter will be 18 when I am 56!

And the starbucks visit this morning was quite interesting.  I do miss the adrenaline kick you get from those situations.

Morning TAN.

It's another play date day. At least this time it's with a dad that has no issue with discipline... unlike the nanny who chased the kid around for 15 minutes because she couldn't grab him and go.

Sorry. 'Nuf about kids.

Here's something amusing (to me at least)-

Just found out the our cute 18 yr old temp receptionist has a 32 yr-old mom.

Don't they write stories about that?

It's not the age, it's the maintenance.

It gets harder to maintain the older you get .. I wish I had one of those warranties that I could renew every year like the ones for my house.  That would be awesome!

Funny story.  I used to grow roses.  After I went back to school, the rose garden was not maintained very well.  Some plants died, some got scrawny, some came out from below the graft.  Anyway, the garden was not the pristine floral patch of color any longer.  One day I came home and Janicewhokeepsmehumble told me that she had sprayed all the surviving plants with Roundup. I was stunned.  I told my friends at work looking for sympathy.  One commented, "And let that be a lesson to you!"

TEEJAY!!!!

I downloaded a free art app for my Ipad called sumoart (I think)...

It really suits the "engineer" in me.  Sort of has a spiralgraph feature and other cool features.  I tend to like semetry, so it's good for me.  I must have played with it for an hour last night.
