Hello Ghoulies!

Hot day out there today. I checked the weather while we were out, coincidentally the weather satellite is at the middle school, right next to the field we were on. At 10:40 it was 87 degrees with a heat index of 91. My daughter emptied her 20 oz water bottle, and my 24 oz.

My son left this morning without a bottle. I already have his ready to go back with me. I'm actually taking 2 water bottles, and a bottle I filled with G2. I think I'll also grab a roll of athletic tape so I can pinch his sleeves up and tape them up. The PTO buys all the kids shirts for Field Day, this years color was black. Oh well. They couldn't have known in February what the temperature would be.

I'm going to go grab some lunch and read what I missed.

kcarroll - 2010-05-27 9:08 AM So tonight the ac is going to have be turned on.  This morning I needed another shower after drying my hair.  Summer is here.

I had to break down and turn on my ac earlier this week.  Fans just weren't cutting it anymore!

Wussy people, Come to the South! We are still keeping the windows open. I turn the AC on when it gets 90/100 which is 90 degrees or more with 100 % humidity. Now you know why we are slow and drink a lot of ice T.

Robin, I grew up in the South and lived in AZ before moving to NJ.  Usually I can tolerate the heat & humidity fairly well, even it does mean a bad hair day.  I think it is because it's been a fairly cool spring and then all of a sudden it was 90 degrees yesterday.  And this morning as I was drying my hair and sweating, the stoooopid cat kept winding itself around my legs wanting more breakfast.  Uggghhh. Thankfully, the weekend is supposed to cool off a bit.  Hmmmm. But I do think I'll make some iced t or maybe even lemonade.

Yeah, it is great when the heat sneaks up on you all of the sudden. That and having to take a shower because you used the blow dryer.  Good thing you love your kitty! That would have been a tempting punt!

I will. I figured a bottle of water, and the bottle of G2 for him, and the other bottle of water for me. I just threw some sunscreen in my bag, too. I got tan this morning, but I'll burn in this this afternoon. After I pull his sleeves up, he'll need some on his shoulders, too.
