Lynne - If you notice in the logs there are these two cool little sections called Strength and Sports????? They even add color to your graphs (dark red and blue). That's so you can do things besides r/b/s.  Take the Zumba class.  I still do hiking/walking almost every Monday and thinking about signing up for a belly dancing class.  Heck if I lived there would take it with you

Very excited - Just signed up for my 2nd race and am doing it with my 13 yr old son.  They have a 4 mile or 15K race here in June called the Steamboat Classic.  Our local scouting office started a program called Scouting Steam where boys and their parents can sign up for an 11 week training program that ends with finishing the 4 mile race.  The boys then earn the Personal Fitness merit badge which is required for Eagle Scout. Our training starts in April

THAT sounds cool. You two will have so much fun!! My Aunt and Uncle used to live in Pekin. I've been rollerskating with my niece there. LONG time ago.

Life is too short not to do the things that make you happy. I sooo enjoy triathlons, but I also enjoy skiing, kayaking, rafting, hiking, fishing, gardening, cooking and the list goes on and on..... As long as you are trying to make healthy choices then go for it. And you are NOT a slacker.

Good morning McFuzzies!  Just wanted to check in...I'm hanging in there, as well as the kids.  We also happened to have state testing (grrrrrrr) this week so that has added to the stress--different schedule everyday.  Just get me to Friday!!!  My workouts have all been on point, but the eating has suffered.  Geez...in times of stress my eating is the first thing to go...emotional eater perhaps?!  It hasn't been terrible but far from what it should be.  Ahhh well...not stressing about it. My pants still fit! Laughing

Anyone racing this weekend?

Wow...not good (although it is good that we're much better at diagnosing things like this than we were 300 years ago).  You need to get healthy, and if that means rest so your body can heal, please do so.

Hello Team,

Nothing much to report here. I am still dealing with the ins and outs of marathon training. We have 17 days to go until marathon. My body is begging for taper week and this time I am inclined to agree with my body. So how are all of you beautiful people doing? Enjoy the remainder of your week and make it a good one.

Personal best for 2011 - broke into the 180's today. (189.6 lbs - but it is in the 180's and falling)  180 lbs by raceday (-*- this is me crossing my fingers)  funny I was in the mid 170's last summer after all the IM training, but allas the IM training comes with IM eating, once the training stops and eating continues, of course it doesn't take long to get fat all over again.

Good for you.   I count calories every day.  I hope the habit helps me avoid the swings.

Here our school goes again...we have a student living in Japan as an exchange student, haven't heard anything yet.

ETA:  heard from our student...he is fine, well away from the epicenter and far inland.  He is preparing for aftershocks, however.
