The bad news... I have done something to my back to the point that I cannot lift my 6 year old... Been like this for over a week, but growing steadily worse. I am not sure what I have done, but I spent the largest portion of the day today on the couch while the family scurried about... I am planning on getting into the doctor first thing on Monday.

Right now I can hardly move, and the strongest thing in the cabinet is not knocking down the pain. This will most likely mean my withdrawal from the challenge, but I will have a confirm from the doctor on Monday.

Drive hard team. Sorry I am not able to post my numbers to get us higher up the board.

go go van_paulus!!  I'll eat breakfast in leisure while you race.  good deal.  wait, leisure? not with my two monkeys.

1for1, tough break!  hopefully you're soon back.  have your 6yo walk on your back to massage it?  or just deliver you a strong drink?

Sorry about your back 1for1...can't predict those sort of setbacks. Hope it isn't something too serious...This elephant will be sending positive thoughts your way.
To the rest of the team, hope all had a great training weekend! I ran today and have a 2 workout day planned tomorrow (my day off).

Done! I seem to be really busy all the time this month. I keep slacking off and not logging my workouts. I feel like I barley have time to get any in, and they are shorter than they should be....

I'll get some good cycling time in this coming weekend. MOAB HERE I COME!!!!!!!

Hi team

Sorry to hear about your back 1for1 I hope it will get better soon.

Thank to the rule about competitions counting double (Duathlon yesterday) I am getting pretty close to my goal.

I will reach my swim goal tonight, and should reach bike goal tomorrow, and with my 5k race on Thursday I should be done

1for1 - how are you doing?

I swam this AM but the 25yd pool was closed so I was doing quick rotations in the 10y pool.  so much for increasing the workout this week.  With luck the 25y will be open again Wednesday...

Tomorrow is my first scheduled brick workout.  I've done a few mini ones - running a few minutes after biking.  We'll see how my body likes a little longer run!

Hi Elephants.  1for1 requested to drop out of the challenge because of injury.  Hope you heal quickly!

I took him off your team's spreadsheet, so the progress will not count towards your goal.

Hi everyone,

I've been getting a lot of questions about penalties for the losers.  The two teams with the lowest overall percentages for the month will have to change their avatar to something with a flower (April showers bring May flowers...).  If you are on a losing team, it doesn't matter what your percentages are, just that you are on one of the teams with the lowest percentage.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Wow ! Hey Gang if you are feeling strong and want to do a little extra ... remember that you can get up to 110% to help the team out.

And that races are worth double ...

I got in a nice ride this AM and have found a local Sprint Triathlon race this saturday . Looking forward to it. 400 m pool swim , 17.5 mile ride , and 3.1 mile run.

I rode part of the course this morning and am trying to figure out what to wear as its quite chilly. 50F.

OK, I did my brick.  I shortened the run part, but the plan called for me to walk some, I dropped the walking part and just ran.

maybe it's not a cold and I'm just allergic to not training?  I feel better after working out.

A medal !! Thats great !

You might repeat your exploits here by being the first  Exciting Elephant to hit all your goals . Am i correct in assuming this ?

Anyone else close on their goals ?

I am at 76% for the month as of today ..  and looking to cash in on some double points tomorrow...

I am now at 101 % but that is only because I made it to 110% on the bike. I should hopefully get over 100 % in both swimming and running tomorrow
