You guys are finishing strong.

Stage 9 of 9... actually I don't know how that happened, I have one more. I really wanted to get mine done today, but no go. I still did my scheduled ride though. 45 miles, 87%. One more victory lap commute to work this weekend and I'm done!!! Actually I will probably commute two days and be a bit over. I really just want to be done with this week. I'm whooped. Long run tomorrow. Ughh.

GO TEAM GARMIN!!!

Ok, if getting injured is part of being on this team I don't wanna play anymore... Surprised Sorry to all those who are hurting, hoping for quick recoveries for you all.  I am right on course for my goals: 76% of challenge has passed, and I am on 76% for my goals with stage 8 done tonight.  Good luck to all in the last few days of the challenge!

Good morning Team! I have contacted Kat about modifying my goals. Here is the eamil I have sent her. I will be able, with her OK, to finish the Tour.....Slowly but surely. Thanks for all the well wishes and everyone ride safe and I hope all the injured are healing well.

 My email to Kat:

Good whatever time of the day you are at, Kat!

Thanks so much. I would like to stay in the Tour if possible. I can not make up the 3 days I missed but I did ride my trainer for 15 minutes this morning with out too much pain. And actually think it helped to streatch out my back some. If I can do the ride for 15 min segments through out the day I can get my Hour in and finish the Stages I have left. Is that possible? And fair to the other teams? If so that is what I would like to do.

Thanks so much,

Chris

Kat approved my modification. So I will go and remove the 3 days and 3 hours I was too injured to ride. And move on from there. So will get it done 15 min at a time....more if I feel it. Or don't feel it.

Just stay healthy!  If nothing else, this team should get the biggest heart award for our perseverance!  I got another session down today, and am up to 74% of my goals!

GO GARMIN!

Anyone have the current standings. As of last night we were half a point ahead of BMC which is all that really matters.

Arrived in Lake Placid today and before even getting to town I pulled over and rode down the major descent on the course. It was no Tourmalet but I'm moving right along with the fellas in the Tour!

Cadel's attempt at a repeat may be over, but BMC will still be victorious over Slipstream!

I have 2 more sessions to go and only 25 more miles Laughing

O.K. - Stage 11 and 12 Done.

Stage 11 Wed. 45 minutes on my old road bike for just over 12 miles, certainly could feel the fit difference and the TT bike fit my friend perfect.  It was also nice to ride with someone else, I am a solo rider 99% of the time (no one likes me - wife said this was true).

Stage 12 Thur. 45 minutes on the old bike for just over 12 miles (faster than yesterday) and felt really good but ran out of light.  I went inside and put it on the trainer for another 30 (no info because Garmin sensors are still on the Argon).

I have to say that falling behind, the fit problem, and now playing catch up has actually been really good for me.  I have learned and have really started to enjoy riding again.

I have 3 Stages left for just over 2 Hours and am leaving for the deer lease tomorrow at noon, but do not fear I will get a ride in before leaving, then one or two when I return on Saturday before leaving again Sunday afternoon for a camping trip.  Got to stay true to my name, but I will get 100 %.

Doctor Bob best of luck at Lake Placid. I will say a prayer for you, and know that your hard work will pay off.

Team Garmin

Stage 13 Done

30 Minutes on the Trainer this A.M., no data once again due to no sensors on the old bike.  I have 2 stages left and roughly an 1:15 to complete.

I finished this morning!  I had 2 more sessions and 25 miles, so I split them up and did a session, had a cup of coffee, and got back on the bike.  Since we are leaving town tomorrow, I wanted to make sure I got them both done this morning.

Almost there, let's get that final push!!!

I got stage 10 done tonight, 2 to go!  I have a question.  I have already met my distance goal; should I increase it, or do we get some sort of bonus for being over 100%??

I was curious too because I could go over.

As of right now we are in second place, but it is all very close for the top 3... we need all we can get!

Go Team Garmin!

It's been a great challenge. Let's finish strong!

Morning Kirsten.

Thought i would crash onto your thread and be my usual self, but you guys seem to be really on it,  so I better shut upSealed

Apparently there are no bonuses for over achieving except that it looks good. I am in the same position as you, having hit my time target but with 2 stages to go.

Good luck on finishing the challenge, and GO TEAM SKY!!!

Got home today. 404, 100.1%!!! All finished. Not sure if I am going to ride in tonight.

As of this morning...

Omega 92.83%

Sky 89.8%

Garmin 86.02%

BMC 84.46%

Liquigas 80.03%

Europcar 70.56%

We are still in this. It is anyone's challenge considering some might still not be current. I had to do the math on Omega myself and yes going over 100% counts in the team average... at least that is how the math is set up on the spread sheet.

I might have to ride in tonight!!!

GO TEAM GARMIN!!!

Nothing over 100% counts - that has been the rule in all the previous TdF challenges.

One day of racing left! Be sure to have your spreadsheets up to date by the end of Monday for final standings.

Sorry kids - nothing over 100% of your goal counts - at least that has been Kat's rule in the past challenges. If she wants to change that....

Sky = 88.3%

Garmin = 87.3%

BMC = 86.3%

Liquigas = 82.2%

Europcar = 71.7%

Omega = blank spreadsheet
