got in 110 minutes today- complete with my first ever clipless pedal fall- managed to unclip my left shoe and promptly lean to the right. ugh.  luckily there wasn't a car in the right turn lane that i fell into, so all was ok.  For some reason I had a much harder time with the pedals today-- it's the getting in that is the challenge, getting out is no problem, but for whatever reason (my beginners luck wore off?) it was seriously frustrating today.

Welcome to the Club!! Your membership card will arrive shortly.  At least yours didn't happen in front of a busload of middle schoolers!

Just had a moment to check out other people's logs- way to go team!! We're rocking this challenge! and earning our non-peep indulgences too (or at least me and my new-found ice cream habit hope so!)

 onto the new week!

It does get easier, over time. I'm still learning how to use my first set of clipless pedals, and it's tricky. I was doing hills on Saturday, and at the top, just barely had the brains to be able to get out of the pedals before topling over.

Just wait till you start trying to figure out aero bars

Eat more Peeps.

Only you can protect the world from the evil Chocolate Peep Disease, so take one for the team. Eat more peeps. Then use the energy to go out and bike farther.

Great job team. Keep up the good work!

You know... if someone were to ... accidently... leave boxes of chocolate peeps on the Peep Army's doorsteps... they might not have time to train.

wgraves7582 - 2008-03-11 10:22 AM Alright guys I blew the rollers off last night, but it is sunny in Buffalo and you know what that means????? Donning the cold weather gear, bike lights and going for 30 or 40 outside tonight after work!!! Yes, I love non daylight savings or actual daylight savings. Whichever season we are in, I love it! Hitting Orlando, FL one day next week and hopefully can score a rental bike and get some sun mileage in down there as well! Watch out 400 miles - I am going to start closing in on you big time!!!!!! This goal is done!

Yeah go for it! Be careful!

wgraves7582 - 2008-03-12 8:23 AM Got 21 beautiful miles in last night! Went out in daylight and finished up in the dark.

Nice job!!

I forced myself to do 30 minutes on the trainer last night...may not have been a stellar idea b/c I then didn't sleep well, and thus may not have enough energy later today to do an hour ride.  (If I don't, I"ll make it up later in the week)

Great job everybody, sounds like we are kicking some butt, do let up, I'm doing 20+ miles tonight with a group. I really don't want a Peep as my avatar.

I'll be seriously disturbed if I have to display a Peep avatar for a month.  However, today I took a rest/family day, but will be back at it tomorrow.

I want to announce my very exciting purchase I made today!!!!  I'll be getting it in about a month!  I can't wait!!  Ain't she a beauty?!?! I've got to think of a name for her, but I probably won't be sure until I meet her....  Wink

Who else has names for their bikes?

My new baby!

That's a beauty, I've never been one to name my bikes, so I'm not sure what to call her isn't KHS a mountain somewhere I don't know just guessing? Maybe Ella for elevation. You must be very excited. Here is what I ride, what do some of the other team members ride?

Good morning All.  90 more minutes on trainer this am.  Team at 45.9% of goal!

Here's my steed..I call her Minnow..since we got Lost during a 3 Hour tour and got hit by a T-Storm.  She'a an '05 Model, but I'll upgrade her if I ever break the Clyde Barrier again (A man can dream can't he?)
