Bars are terrible places to meet people, anyway.

I met my husband at a bar!

I like bars when they have good beer and I'm with good friends.  Other than that, I'd rather drink at home.

ok, back to lurking working.

Aight peeps.  Gots a question for the TAN fam.

Forgive me for bringing somfin into nuffin but didn't want to do it in the CoJ madness.  TAN madness is good enough.

Ever get the feeling you don't get it.  I don't mean the inside jokes of others at parties and all.  I mean, you ever have those days, or weeks, where you think you are doing quite well, you think you know where you are headed, you think you know what you are doing and that you are doing it quite well.  And then, something happens, probably not major, maybe not even an event, but someone says something fairly innocuous, that makes you think that you are still some niaive little kid that doesn't know squat and are kidding yourself with the thoughts you were having?

Yes I have. And it always seems to be something small and insignificant that brings me there.

Yup - my former boss met her husband, who is a super-nice guy, at a bar. But I still don't go hunting for men at bars.

Where else do you get to use corny pick up lines if you don't go to the bar.

Dude.

"TAN fam"

"TAN madness"

Seriously, would we be here if we were the people who "got it"? Someone clearly forgot to give me the manual, so I just make shmyte up as I go along!

Yep.  Kind of there this week.  Hasn't happened in a while.  Should be gone in a day or so.  Normally is.

That and the feeling that I'm not grown up.  I look at other "grown ups" my age (36) and think, they have it together, they are "adult", they are "grown up".  Me, I feel like I'm still 18 and don't know diddly poo about what is going on.

Glad to know I'm not the only one.  Thanks guys.  Youse is da bestest.

I agree.

It's one thing to hit the bars with a group of friends and meet other mutual friends you didn't know.

It's a completely different thing to be "that guy" hitting on every other girl who is there alone (or not alone).

But have you noticed that everyone on BT claims to have an IQ above like 120? That was beaten to death in a thread awhile back. Just funny.

Well, it does stand to reason, everyone here can at least read and write. Those that can't stand out very quickly on a web forum.

That said, and forgive me, but it gives me great relief when people like you, people I think really do always get it and have it all together, people I am most envious of, admit that sometimes you don't feel like you get it, either.

It varies depending on the "official" test taken. Generally falls within the same range, though, and yep I know mine too but usually won't tell anyone.
