Yipee! Especially since I played the supportive wife this weekend to my marathon running husband and did not get my usual workouts in!

Starting weight:

9/22/2008: 227

9/29/2008: 225

10/6/2008: 223

10/13/2008: 222.5

Horrible weekend in terms of eating. My niece's first birthday--a pig roast with tons of food. Felt like crap the next day. I can tell I'm not used to that.

On the workout front, not that much better. But at least got in the pool for a short workout this morning. Gotta reestablish the habit!   --my run habit is on hold for a while longer, since my knee keeps filling up with fluid. Creaky arthritic knees leading to Baker's Cyst... maybe cutting the weight a bit more will help. I'll have to rely on the swimming more.

May I join? I need some accountablity. I was doing very well but got tired of being disciplined gave myself permission to eat anything and now I'm afraid to get on the scale. I need to do it and just accept reality.

I don't think I've slipped too much in terms of inches because my clothes still fit. But I'm afraid if I don't put some structure back in my diet I'll fall deeper into lifelong bad habits.

9/26 = 142
9/29 = 143.2
10/6 = 138
10/13 = 139.2

I'm slightly disappointed with myself as I was down for the week, but I had to take 4 days off from exercise with my daughter in the hospital. I also wasn't able to eat much while I was there, so I think my body went into starvation mode. I'm hoping that my rough week last week will make a good week this week.

Jump right in!  Don't worry about what the scale says now--you can get the numbers moving in the right direction in the coming weeks...

LovemyMak ~ I surely hope your daughter is well.  I have a 4 yr old and wouldn't know how to handle him being in the hospital !!

up 3 lbs, but I did a half mary yesterday and I always retain water and weigh high the day after a race. So should be back down by next week.

Down another two pounds this week. I completed a 100km (60 mile) ride on Sunday and felt great. My weight has been fluctuating a bit but I believe that it is water weight.

Summary:

Last week: 287lbs

This week: 285lbs

I guess I will take it.  It's so frustrating when my weight comes off so slowly.  I tell myself maybe it was the weekend, but honestly it wasn't like I completely lost it.  I indulged a little I will be honest with you, but it's not like I went off the deep end.  In fact, I have been so good for the last three weeks (logging nutrition and training and all) that I didn't think it would affect my loss much.

I hope that this week I will see a bigger drop.  Maybe, it'll kick in again.

It is so nice to look at this thread. This has been a few hard weeks in a row for me, and it seems for a lot of us.  It's always hard when weight comes off (very) slowly, but I'm really glad to be able to watch all of your successes, and also share in the struggles.  It's so encouraging to have a group working toward the same goals.

Keep up the great work everyone, and don't forget to celebrate the small successes!

Can't be completely disappointed cause this weekend was tough.  But I added biking in to my workouts so hopefully this will be a great week.

I was 144 lbs Monday morning.

I'm still up 4lbs since we started.  I go down during the week and then up on the weekend.  Not doing so well.
