Had a gorgeous turkey trot this morning, with just a few crappage points. Really, I can't call it crappy weather, it was so pretty! I was very happy I've been running in these temps for awhile - there were some shiverin' folks out there!

Going for a hike today, but it might be too warm for points. Weird November weather!

Its snowing again...really pretty big Hallmark kind of snowflakes coming down. I was not going to run today but I really want to get out there!

BTW for the Crap points can we include non- tri sports? Like xc skiing ? Or only bike and run. Wondering.....

Well, I got over 2000 points with my fairly short hike - so maybe Bill will be rethinking his position on that one! LOL!

I just ran outside, it was so nice with the snow and all. I got some points for it, but just can't call it crappy.

How can people run inside with that kind of view outside

BTW Aquagirl, do you have a trick when running in the slush? I did the other morning and came back home with my feet as wet as if I had go swiming :p

Re the slush..... I'll take a wet sloppy shoe anyday! I should have stayed in the slush...but no I had to try and run in the pretty new fallen snow and have now hurt myself! My hips really  hurt from trying to stabilize in the slippy snow. So stick with the slush. Slush good.

Slugger, as a Nurse I must tell you that hiking is hazardous to your health. Really. It can only do you harm. You should just stay inside and maybe have a glass of eggnog instead. You know...for your health. Stay inside.

Week number 4 down, winter is zooming by. Not a lot of points for me this week, only one sub zero run. Can't complain, my time will come.

A 10k run, not very cold but cold enough for the crap points. Got hot and had to take the jacket off. Everyone was bundled up and looking at me funny as I ran by in a t-shirt !!

Bwahahaha!!! It's true, it is hazardous to my health, yet I keep subjecting myself to it anyway. Will I never learn?

I completely forgot to run this morning, but wouldn't have gotten any points in the FORTY-FOUR DEGREES! WTF, people, it is DECEMBER! *sigh* But, um, maybe I'm, well, goingonanovernighthike. This weekend. LumberDad, here I come!

Not much crappy around here lately, it was 1C this morning with just a little bit of wind. Run is done, but points aren't there much today =(

To make sure I don't score that high in decembre I am going on a cruise in the Bahamas in two weeks, I doubt I will get anything under 80 there ...

Can't believe all the cold weather so far this year. This morning did a 46 min run, 8F with the wind, there was a -2F wind chill.  Some of the sidewalks are still snow covered from the snow we got on Sunday. That is winter in Wisconsin.

I think you are getting ALL of the cold in the entire country. They predicted a wickedly cold winter for us this year, but so far it hasn't happened. When it does, though, I'm gonna be awfully grateful for 35 degrees!

Speaking of, got a super short run in today at 33 degrees. After yesterday's 35.1 degrees, I needed to post SOME points in retribution. I declined the 23 degrees, though.

We have had rain and 40s this week so I am hoping for a big fresh dumping this weekend so I can get back to the snowshoes and cross country skis.  That is pretty quick for the snowshoes!  Is it on packed snowmobile trails or just fresh snow?  I am doing it in powder and am about 16 min/miles.  So hopefully when I get to the packed trails it will be faster and easier!

You guys have a "crappy" weekend and stay warm!

It was in fresh snow, but only about 3" - 4" of light fluffy snow.

Super jealous - I could totally do with a nice fresh dump of snow. What little there is is all crusty and icy, not good going at all. I'm going on an overnight hike and predict it'll not be the best conditions ever. Hopefully the trails are in better shape than what I've got around my house.

Speaking of mountains, I got a great trail run in today. Long and punishing and just perfect. I'm sure it was below 30 at the summit but I had no way to tell, so I just guessed that the temps stayed between 30 and 35. It's hard to see that 70 minutes turn in to only 35 points! Won't be too long before 25 feels super warm, though - it's coming!

First below zero morning. Jog 3 miles with dog, -3F.

It got down to -6F but that was after we got back.
