Had a crazy week following Hubby's accident. He had surprise (not quite emergency) surgery on his hand because of blood poisoning and an infected tendon sheath. He will be off work for a few more weeks, so I won't be around much. I'm still in for the challenge, though.

Hope everybody does well! GET PEACH!

Sorry all but I'm a bit blonde sometimes ...when and where should we post our days/times?  In here or the spreadsheet?

Either way, I managed to drag my butt to they gym at 9 at night to do 35 mins on the elliptical and some stretching ~ all so that I meet all my challenges requirements!

chosenprovidence - 2008-10-31 1:39 AM Can I join you this month? I had gallbladder surgery last week and I'm just itchin to start new and make sure that I keep it up.

I hope your surgery went OK, I had my gallbladder out 8 years ago and haven't looked back! I find that the only limitation since having it out is that I can't eat a lot of fat at once, but surely thats a good thing!

Almost time for Peachy November!  Since I lack the talent to create one of those pretty group graphs, I'm going old school, with a basic list   Log your peach every day and post it here on the thread.  Would you guys be interested in seeing how we stack up against eachother?  Basically I could do a spreadsheet and track minutes and at the end of the month we can see who was the "peachiest"?  Please be sure to throw some inspires to your fellow peaches every once in a while

Yep - spreadsheet would be fun - see who is the peachiest of the peaches.  Will motivate us even move to see total time moving.

Spreadsheet sounds awesome! I am super competitive LOL!

Lisa B - 2008-11-02 1:26 AM Earned my peach today with a 10K.  Went right under 55 mins which is a PR by 5 mins for the year!  Woot Woot.  On tap for this afternoon is a 1 hour bike ride (coach is a slave driver).

Yay for the PR!

nursejennie - 2008-11-02 9:17 AM Accomplished my first peach for November, but it was not too impressive. Yesterday morning I was hit by a car while on my bike. I am okay (at least my cranium is intact) thanks to my helmet. However my right knee is swollen, and I have an assortment of bruises. I did manage to get out for an easy 1-mile walk with a knee brace, and did some yoga. Total time 48min. I really, really wanted to run, but I should probably take it easy until I see the doc Monday.

Argh! I hope you're OK! Bloody cars!!!

I think we are posting 'time spent getting our peaches'? This is what Abbie had suggested originally...

"Almost time for Peachy November! Since I lack the talent to create one of those pretty group graphs, I'm going old school, with a basic list Log your peach every day and post it here on the thread. So...at the end of the week we tally up the time we spent working out and then at the end of the month whoever put in the most time, becomes the ulitmate peach!! ...I think

My peach yesterday was somewhat cheesy. I worked out in the yard a bit and then did some core exercises and push ups in the evening.

This morning I got up early and got my run in before work b/c I have an appt after work tonight.

Ahhh, I see. I'm not doing that. I'm not going to be nowhere near the top so I'm good with just my minimum peach requirement.

Just thought we could save Abbie a lot of work by logging our own peaches.  Doesn't mean we shouldn't also post it here to keep everyone motivated, and to chat and inspire   Whatever Abbie wants is what we do since she was the brave soul to start this challenge.

I think I may have given Abbie heartache for not inputting my weekend peaches!!  Don't fret, I'm peachy!

Hiking on Saturday (tough climb!)

Running on Sunday (thought I was going to die... ok actually it wasn't that bad)

Phyiscal therapy and running today

Well after a perfect October, I should try to continue with a perfect November.  This month will be more difficult, I think, as I have a vacation starting this Friday to Hawaii that includes a cruise.  Perfect time of year for us Canadians, but not so conducive for working out.  Sounds like lots of walking in my future.  And yes I know you may all hate me now.

Happy Monday!

I am finally peachy. I wasn't online this weekend to log the workouts but I wasn't slacking either

With the spreadsheet - I often don't log on during the weekend so can I record my time on Monday for the previous Saturday?

I am not much of a fighter, but my major sport of the month is boxing

I am moving.  Moving involves lots of lifting.  What am I lifting?  Heavy boxes.

I think that it definitely should qualify as sport minutes.

Keep up the good work everyone.
