Not too bad.  BT hiccuped in the middle and lost some of my posts.  Actually said the BBS is down for maintenance. Hopefully I didn't do that from too much submitting at the same time.

Anyway, I opened 25 tabs in Firefox, typed everything and then used ctrl+tab to go through and submit them.

*gasp*   are you a mackie too???

If I have a choice.  I have both and prefer my MacBook, but I have to use Windows at work.  I just hate IE, so I never use it.

Did I ever mention that I may be near your parts this Aug.?
Going to NC for wedding, maybe?
Really? Where?

She's from Charlotte, weddings in Ashville... so I guess a tour between the two.

Ah, that's the other end of the state. Although, my parents live on that side.

Yes, Dee does not plan trips to Asheville when another BTer is there.  She wants to stay mysterious.  Now me on the other hand am in Asheville about 6-8 times a year.

Yeah. It's not gonna happen. You're ahead of me to stay. LOL

True.  But you're going to narrow the gap.  I wouldn't be surprised if you are at 15,000 by the end of the month

and then there were the little people at the bottom of the chain of BT posters... with not even 5K posts, much less 10K

Me, Me, Me!!!

Don't worry. Your post count will be well-padded by, um, the time this challenge actually STARTS.

Fiction books are usually filed by the authors last name, not by DD.  The DD system is used for non-fiction books and breaks it down by subject.  So Curious George should have been by "Rey" for the author.

I always figured the letter system was another part of the DD system.  They div the children's books into different sections (Juv and I think ER - or something like that)  so books by the same author can be in different locations depending on the reading level.  Makes a huge college library look easy to me.
It was never a big problem with just one reading child, but now with two on different levels, I'm slightly confused.
Oh, and THEN... they put collections (ie Berenstein Bears or Dr Suess) on a different wall as well.... WTH????

Okay, Fiction books are broken up by Easy (usually picture books that can be read or read by those 6 and under).  Then you have your Juvenile section for those in elementary school.  Our Teen section is geared towards middle school and the beginning of high school, some librarias have Young Adult (mine doesn't), then Adult (not X rated).

Kind of funny that as you progress in school they teach you about how to use the library for your level and higher (ie research).... but they never teach you about how to find stuff on lower levels.  I just always assumed kids books were kids books, until I had kids.

In debate on if to fly out by myself for wedding (which will make this crazy summer more so crazy) or wait until next summer and plan fmly vaca somewhere around outer banks and coordinate with newlyweds (then we may actually get to visit - and the bride has a camp out there anyhow)
