Well I am not looking forward to the scale the weekend I ate horrible things and not as much exercise as I should. the damage is... 218... oh I kinda knew though because I ate rediculously but tried justifying it by saying oh...its ok you aren't drinking like my alcohol consumption is linked to my food intake.

ChiTownJ22 - 2009-03-11 8:24 AM 205.6 today, down 2.4 from last week, which is really surprising since family was in town for the weekend and I didn't have time to workout, and ate entirely too much. Only 20 weeks until the 1/2 ironman......

WAIT!!! That was going to be my excuse for gaining this past week! We've had people over twice, once being overnight company (right now.) And, I LIKE to eat and company just gives me a good excuse! Anyway, I am up to 129; so, I have ruined my chances of reaching my lofty goal this month...but I will be good after today (think damage control!)

Last week: 228

This week: 227.2

Down .8 lbs

At least I put a stop to the two weeks of gains and am back at the same place I am three weeks ago.

How I just have to start putting up some real losses.

I weighed in at Weight Watchers, since I no longer have my home scale.

I lost 1.8 pounds this week AND I got another 5-pound star. How is it that it took eight weeks to get the first one, and then I get another the next week? But I'll take it!

WW weight was 197.4. (For an estimated "home" scale weight of 193.) Last week WW weight was 199.2. It sucks having to switch scales when it puts you in the wrong direction.

Offthegrid - 2009-03-06 10:12 PM I went to mall to get a cell phone charger (my battery died, and I can't find charger), and just for kicks I went into a "normal" size clothing store. I typically have to pay the high prices of Lane Bryant for pants because of my super strong (but big) bootie and thighs. I CAN WEAR 'NORMAL' PEOPLE CLOTHES!!! No more paying ridiculous prices for ugly plus-size clothing. I am so excited! The cool part was I found a really sweet red jacket for only $19.99. And guess what size I needed? Huh? Guess? NOT an X-large, BUT A LARGE!!!

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!

oops I forgot to weigh myself this morning. Will I be alot heavier if I get on the scale this evening after eating all day? When is the best time to weigh yourself?

I usually weigh in the mornings after shower because even a cup of coffee puts the number up on my scale but then again if you weigh in the evening that probably gives you a more realistic picutre. I think the most important is consistency - chose your time of the day and the whole ritual (before shower but after breakfast etc) and stick to it as that way you get comparable results every week.

Hi Stevey, welcome to Team Skinny- the bestest bunch of people ever! So we set out monthly goals and post weight every Wednesday. Other than that we talk about everything here- nutrition questions and puzzles, training, ups and downs of daily life- anything really.

it is 4-5 pounds different for me. it's why I'm lamenting losing my scale when I moved out ...

I'm actually getting close to the lowest weight I've ever been. 4 pounds to go to break my record. Really looking forward to charting new territories now ...

Does that mean yes then?

Basically i'm quite new to the world of fitness and the like and I have set myself a goal of trying to get a some sort of triathalon (probably super sprint) completed, in around 9 months tme from a base fitness of not very, and with a lot of excess weight hanging on.

Seeings its wednesday should i post a weight then?

210.8 this week, finally broke through the 214 that's been holding me up. Common 20-single digits next week!

last couple of weeks i've been weighing on sunday mornings instead of wednesday evenings.  When i started was 290. I am now 283 after 3 weeks. My ultimate target is thus goign to be 180 with a target deadline of christmas day. Is that reasonable?

edit

i realised you meant monthly target.

just oer 2 weeks left this month so i'm going for 278 by the weigh in 2 weeks time (is that ok?)

Its okay Stevey even though it appears very aggressive.  How tall are you?  The closer you get to goal the slower it will come off,

I wasn't able to get to WW this week, but on my home scale I am still 151.  The scale hasn't really budged in a while and I am going to start tracking my food starting next Monday.  I can't really before then because I am out of town right now and it would be too hard.
