Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: Team 3 Halloween Run Challenge I won't know my goal for October until tomorrow night. It all depends on if I can get my last run done for September. I had to have my old kitty cat put to sleep today so I bagged todays workout. I'm really sad. I'm having wine for dinner. Anyone want to join me in a toast to my happily resting kitty? |

That is what I had for dinner, but I had to make it. My daughter actually requested it as she has a bad sore throat and cold. We had it with a warm baguette, cheese and apples. I should have had a glass of wine with it! |

I am sure you made the right decision for your kitty; definitely take a day of rest. |

Presentation is amazing...but the taste...is OUT OF THIS WORLD! was the best money my parents ever spent! (sending him to SF Culinary School) Julie, you always have the best food. If we win the challenge can he cook for all of us? |

I am super happy for a chatty group! This year was my first year to start doing tri's. My first love is soccer, been playing for 24 yrs (goalie) and continue to play and coach. However, back in March I did a mini tri because someone told me they didn't think I'd do it. I've been hooked ever since.I have a 15 month old daughter and discovered running is the perfect way to have some me time. I am going to do my best to keep up! |

(Stepping up, I know.) Hubby has been fixing it up for me. Got new brake cables last weekend, so now I'll be able to stop. It's not fancy, but it's lighter than the hybrid. If I keep saving my pennies, I'll be able to get one of those new-fangled super-fast bikes someday. (Of course, if I keep spending my pennies on races...) I just found a du in October that's not too far from me. It might get race-tested soon! (Plus I have some good incentive to run.) |

Hi Julie, this is my second month of training and my second challenge. I am still learning to jog but it is improving. I have a 5k fun run on Thanksgiving and on New Year's. I hope to jog most of the Turkey run and jog all of the New Year's run. I had a time goal but my speed is pretty slow, so we shall see. Now I know who the Dorothy is on your Log Page. Very cool .... |

I need a hot tub! mmmmm I had a nice carb loaded lasanga. Yeah not sure what hit me but I found candy corn today.....HEY! DON"T JUDGE ME! kendra.....hot tub sounds fabulous....and safe to say you can always have any and all candy corn I get when trick or treating. but I do love chocolate!!!!!!!!!!mmmmmmm must have chocolate! x2. no candy corn but I will always take chocolate. I think they should make "candy corn" out of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate. Is that enough stripes? I am sure that I can come up with another chocolate! |

My bike was my step-daughter's bike when she was in 5th Grade (12 years ago). She was about as tall then as I am now. It is a youth bike so it is a little short from seat to bars but I put on an adjustable stem that helps. For now it has wider "off-road" tires because our roads are rough and will be winter wet. Our hi temp has already dropped into the 50s this week. BRRR Edited by deehtz 2009-09-29 10:53 PM |

It's been over a year since I've been in one, so I thought I'd give one a go again. Just finished my 3rd year of doing tri's last week. I have a great time doing them, but I've never enjoyed running very much, and it's starting to really drag down my results as I get better swimming and biking. Did a 1/2 marathon in May, and I'm doing the same one as Stacie in Pgh on 11/1 - Hi Stacie! Looking forward to this challenge to help make sure I get my miles in this month! and my name is Bob, not Willie! |
