The last time she did it, let's just say that only Marmadaddy had the authorization to delete what she'd done. LOL Hm. Maybe we SHOULD let her write the table. I'll bring popcorn and the rest of us can have a party while we watch the fireworks and explosions. anyone know how to do html? i can do it, but i've been known to blow up entire threads - and it might be util the end of the challenge before i figure it out LOL! pretty sure that's what motivated him to create the new feature - which btw i have yet to figure out |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Frostbite Force - Du-December Challenge Baowolf - 2009-12-06 7:33 PM Long run day 17 miles in 20-24 F with fluries for the entire run. I had to actually get out most of my cold weather gear for this one. Unfortunately my water froze so I didn't get any water for the run 8(. I will have to be more careful about that in the future. I don't think I am quite reaclimated to elevation yet.. that or the run just sucked. Last 6 miles were slower than the first 11. In any case miles are miles and that puts me at 43 miles run, 4200 yards swam so far for December. Tough to gage goals this month with Christmas coming up. Hows everyone else doing on goals? that is a long run! seems to me you did great! |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Frostbite Force - Du-December Challenge brick94513 - 2009-12-05 5:40 PM Well, race report time. I got home a little while ago and went straight for the ice bath. Feel better, but, for some reason, this race really tore me up. Hamstrings are sore from the descents! Anyways, here's the splits and results: PCT Woodside 17k Trail Run 4/125 Overall 2/ ??? Age Group Ascent = 4,285 Mile 01: 6:27; HR 168; 212ft (467ft) Mile 02: 7:57; HR 178; 555ft (311ft) Mile 03: 8:12; HR 177; 497ft (245ft) Mile 04: 9:24; HR 176; 682ft (308ft) Mile 05: 9:25; HR 171; 584ft (397ft) Mile 06: 8:36; HR 170; 963ft (655ft) Mile 07: 6:51; HR 170; 274ft (437ft) Mile 08: 6:20; HR 170; 045ft (558ft) Mile 09: 7:13; HR 162; 089ft (440ft) Mile 10: 7:48; HR 168; 377ft (465ft) Mile.22: 0:57; HR 164; 006ft (032ft) I went out a little fast to beat the congestion at the trailhead despite knowing the pending 5 mile climb was just around the corner. While I got ahead of the pack and held my position, the negative time splits for the next four miles were the cost of that strategy. My descending has improved, but still has a lot to be desired. All in all, a good day without getting lost. awesome job! especially on the not getting lost part |

Master 1887 Brentwood, CA | Subject: RE: Frostbite Force - Du-December Challenge Good morning team! Crazy morning for me. Set off on my drive to work and it started snowing. Granted, it was only light flurries and not sticking, but for the SF bay, this is bizarre. Surprisingly enough, I didn't witness any accidents either. Now, time to start that second week of training. Let's let those Vixens have their post padding, while we train! |

Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: Frostbite Force - Du-December Challenge Hrm if it is flurying where you are, that cold air is going to be coming our way all week. It was 3F on the way in to work with icy roads. Not bad enough that I should put on my snowtires... yet, but I will definately not be riding my bike outdoors today. I am not going to run on straight ice either, so I will probably have to dust off the dreadmill. I seriously hope the snow is gone by next Sunday though. Hrm 14 percent.... we can do better than that, lets give them something to talk about... |

Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: Frostbite Force - Du-December Challenge Ok I got boored and was looking at last year run times versus this year. This year I ran 1186 miles in 33 hours less time than in 2008. Long runs of 15 to 20 miles were in the 10:41 to 11:18 range in 2008 and in the 8:32 to 9:40 range for 2009 (2nd 20 this weekend). Who wants to go archival and dig up some old run times 8) ? |

I have no doubt that I was a stronger bike rider this year, however, than in years past. |

Expert 1076 Las Vegas, NV | Subject: RE: Frostbite Force - Du-December Challenge Hey team! Happy Monday (although it's a cold and rare rainy day in Vegas). Should finally get back to 'normal' around our house. Since November 18th we've had our son's birthday, left town the next day for IMAZ, back in town just in time for Thanskgiving, a brief rest, a busy as heck work week, and finally wife's friends in town for the Vegas Marathon if I can recall from the last two weeks. Got the last visitor sent home today. Phew! Finally time to log on and catch up on some messages. Also, found out today I'll have to change my second goal set for the month. Went to the pool today for the first time since IMAZ and they are closing from December 11th through January 4th. So, that means swimming is out. Will update for either bike or strength session goals as my new target. |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Frostbite Force - Du-December Challenge Hi team! i had a great run and a great time yesterday in the first run of my winter race series! from my blog, cuz i'm lazy efficient like that the setting is really cool - it's a great park and the registration/finish area is at a pavillion, they have a great big fire place and everyone gathers around and gets ready for the race oh, btw...it was COLD! 31 degrees Brrrrr - oh, and it snowed last night - so we had ice and snow to run in i found 2 women that had just joined as well - one fast and one my speed, both very nice i ran with one of them (ummmm the one my speed ) we chatted and had a great time the course was hilly and icey! it was really dicey in some spots, in fact the gal i was running with slipped and fell and her feet went completely out from under her and she hit her head hard - ouch!!!! she and i are going to exchange contact information next week, she sounds like someone i can run and bike with i'm very very pleased with my pace - it was a tough course, and i even ran the first 12 min - and it was uphill!!! |
