It's about a quarter mile. I checked the grade on Map My Ride for that section & it showed it topping out at about 10% - 11%. No idea if that is accurate, but it is steep. The good news is that it is fun going the other way. For the Dallas peeps...think Windhaven hill. It's .3 miles and about the same grade. No big deal. |

i was looking at those this morning. shoving ice or ice packs in the three pockets along the spine seems like a pretty good idea. |

It seems the key words in the WTC speedsuit ban are "non-rubberized" and "textile" .... so basically if a suit is neoprene or latex in anyway it is not permitted. But if it is made of a textile - lycra, spandex, polyester, etc then it is good. DeSoto seems to be ahead of the curve and are pushing a one piece trisuit by claiming the chamois pad will help with buoyancy? Hopefully by the fall season the rest of the Tri clothing manufactures will get up to speed and come up with a strong product line to offset the new WTC rule. I've been emailing with one of the PR guys for Pearl Izumi and he assures me that they have some new textile products coming out very soon. So, the best advice is to probably hold on for a couple of months until they all get caught up! Hope that helps! |
