So, I went shopping after going to the gym. I bought 2 pairs of new jeans (and some other stuff)! IN A SIZE 6!! YES YES I DID!! WOOP WOOP! Huzzzzzaaahhhh!!!

Only 18 months ago I was probably about a 14. That was 4th yr of my undergrad around the time of my med interview. Never again!!! Huzzzzzaaaaahhh!!!

That is NOTHING to eat for 36 hours and gave 1/2 of blood for various tests (really almost a pint). Needless to say, I was wiped out.

Ick on the long doctors appointment. Sounds like you could use a few miles. I'll gladly share

Either way it wasn't very nice of them to snap a picture literally about 100 yards from the start of the run. My legs were still a tiny bit dead at that point!

Well given that I can get in on July 26, I am DEFINATELY doing IMLP. 100% certain. My snazzy med school credit card is ready to be used...and used good. (No, I do not feel bad as people went to Europe, SA and Asia on their med school credit cards this summer and will probably go somewhere next summer too)...My mom about 2 years ago would say this is a bad attitude to have...Now she doesn't say anything...haha. I feel that this means she approves (a little bit?) haha...That and the doctors that she works with told her to chill out.

No...that was someone else...

I wasn't crying. I just said I was stocky...which I am...I should trademark my shoulders. Melindy's Shoulders®...and my Lats...Melindy's lats®...Swimming def did not help me out that way...You should see the spacing of my aerobars...haha...It hurts to have them too narrow...I had this dream that my shoulders and back would atrophy when I quit swimming...that dream did not occur...dress shopping is horrific. so is jacket shopping...t shirts are hard to fit with the shoulder seams...

I pretty much now go with the philosophy that when I find upper body garments that fit...buy x2. and if I really like it...buy it bigger and tailor it.

Went hiking this morning with my kids, and a friend and his 2 German Shepherds. We all had a good time. Only got a little wet. The trail we hike his along a creek in the mountains. We hike up to a waterfall. It's really nice, very scenic.

On the way home The Climb by Miley Cyrus came on. All 3 of us were belting out the song. It was fun.

I ran 6.7 miles with hills. There was one up and down I had to walk. It's pretty steep and my hamstring didn't like the up and my knee didn't like the down. Other than that I felt pretty good. I think I'm finally getting my running legs back.

That's great to hear Ann! Sounds like you're off on the right foot for the MCM.
