The mass start of 3000 people was slow. I should have been closer to the front, but it was okay. My avg pace was way better than I expected. I beat my estimated time by 5 minutes. Didn't know I could sustain that jogging pace for the whole 10k! yahoo! i did a little race report if you want to check it out! I just had a blast! FANTASTIC DEE!!! |

I need to go try a few push ups here soon. Later this afternoon I'm taking my pups to an indoor swimming pool for dogs. I know my lab will love it, I'm wondering what my dane pup is going to think. Have a great day everyone! OK, I am expecting pics. Sorry, no pics this time, but the dogs had a blast, well 3 of them did anyway, Milo wanted NOTHING to do with the water. My lab is a great swimmer, she didn't even need a toy to chase she would jump in and just swim. I should have grabbed my phone out of the truck to get some video though, it was really fun. One of my friends did get a pic after we were done. We gave the dogs baths to wash off the chlorine then brought them outside. I loaded mine up in the truck so I could go gather up the toys I had taken. When I came back out I was standing and talking with my friends. I looked over and my lab was sitting in the front seat behind the steering wheel, and my great dane was in the passenger's seat with his head on the dashboard. It was too funny. Both pups crashed when we got home. I had never seen my lab sleep that soundly before.  |

Not that much longer to go. This week will be the toughest mileage wise, but then it is taper time. I can't believe we are so close. I'm going to do a lot of short runs this week, in the rain. Then on Friday I'm taking the day off and getting in one more 20ish miler. I want to get it in, and my Saturday and Sunday are busy so I'm going to do it on Friday. Then 3 more weeks to hang on until the big day. |
