I've switched over from my tri bike to my road bike while I get the computer fixed and figure what's wrong. However, after the last two rides on it, I've noticed my hips are really tight the next day for the long run. This has happened twice and I'm almost positive it's the bike. Should I roll in for another fitting and see what's up? What else would be my options? You can go look back at last Saturday's long run (supposed to be 10, wound up 8.5) and today's (supposed to be 14, wound up 12.25). With a race this coming Saturday, it's almost telling me to stay off the bike for a bit... Thoughts? Are you stretching after you ride? Do you know the difference in seat tube angle between the two bikes? Some. Add more I guess? No Idea. Get a refitting at the shop? Are you doing Jorge's gut busting workouts on the road bike? |

I have one Spinervals DVD (Sweating buckets - and yes, it lives up to its name), but was wondering if any of you had other reccomendations for other DVD's? I find I get bored if I'm just watching tv, and don't put in enough effort, but I will also probably get pretty bored of watching the same Spinervals DVD each time. Any thoughts? |

I might have a few hundred calories to play with, but 2000 is the target for now. As my workout volume increases I'll take the calories up. Pretty much the same with sleep, no sleep from friday am to sunday pm.. |

New user![]() ![]() | ![]() If you have open heart surgery or any kind of heart condition, I am your dietitian and can get you healthy! But, I continue to learn about nutrition during training like we are all doing. I have started to keep a food diary online (there are many programs out there) to also ensure I am getting a good balance of carbs/protein. I tend to want to grab carbs (and not good carbs...especially crackers as they are always around with 3 young kids) but I have been focusing on protein for snacks. I have also found a good protein recovery shake to help my soreness. Had a great swim today. I am glad much of that has come back but still glad I have 6 months to train..lol. I hope you aren't starving ![]() |

The most calories I've been able to cut in a day and it not effect my workouts is 300 to 400 calories. An important note is to make sure you eat a 100 or so grams of carbs after a workout. Especially if its a late workout and you've got another scheduled in the morning. |
