And all this time I thought one of us skiers wanted revenge and cut you off!

Just kidding, catching an edge happens every time I go alot to people at Blue Mountain. Just blame the conditions and leave it at that!

Ps I just met my goal!

I'm not overly worried about anyone in this challenge.
With 5 days left, if we were all finished, then we should have set our goals higher.

My last run in Feb is 1hr scheduled for Sunday.
My goal should be completed then.

My goal for the next challenge is better setting my goal !!! Since i'm new at this, forgive me ?

thanks for the support guys.  yes, i broke it snowboarding.. i wish i could say i was doing some sweet jump or something, but truth be told, i was just turning and caught an edge.  glad to see you are all working towards your running goals.  keep up the great work!

You gotta come up with a better story than that! There I was - going for the gold in Snowboard Cross at the Olympics, in the lead up until the final jump, when I had to make a slight adjustment to my board in mid air,.... nah they'd never believe it....

You always have to watch out for the snow snakes, between them and the mogul mice it's amazing that anyone gets down the hill without catching an edge. At least that's the explanation I've always gone with...

On the running front, my long run this coming weekend will meet my goal and then some. Go Go Canucks!!!!!

Oh I forgive you.

I'm new to this too. The only reason I am on target is that I have a training plan, set my goal per the plan, and followed it for the month.
The encouragement the challenge gave to complete the longer runs was very helpful.

And I agree that Elly needs a better story.
Maybe not quite as elaborate as "I was snowboarding at the Olympics and....." though.
Catching an edge sucks. Don't ask me how I know

How about you were snowboarding down an uncharted part of the mountain when you heard the cries of a small gypsy child in the woods. Being the expert snowboarder you are you swifty cut into the woods to see a bear attacking the gypsy and the child promied you jewels in exchange for your help. Being a black belt in bear fighting and a lover of jewels you gracfully boarded towards the bear, straped out of the bindings and took on the bear face to face. The bear was a tougher fight then you thought, being trained in the black arts himself, and managed to break your arm in a the fight to the death. You obviously came out alive and when the gypsy offered her jewels to you, you respectfully declined to take them telling him that it was all in a days work. The gypsy child ran off into the woods never to been seen again and you boarded down to the bottom of the mountain were the first aid attendants helped you fix up your arm from a "fall". What do you think? I'd buy it .

Completed one of my Around the Bay long runs, 17.75 miles, to bring my total to 88.2 miles - well clear of my 80 mile goal. I will now have a beer and bask in the glory of a job well done!

Let's hear it for our Olympic athletes! You've done us proud!!
