TriAya - 2008-12-28 7:21 PM Ooooh! There are Nibblets afoot! Hi Nibblets!

Hi Yanti!

JUUUUUDIIIIIII!

Ah yes, the last time anyone yeled my name like that it was a very confused man who shouted his wifes name and mine ALL DAY...Followed by the phrase "my p*nis hurts!"  (no lie)
LOL - that's funny. Well, for me anyway. Probably not as funny if he's yelling your name, though....

He would see me swipe in every morning and start yelling my name from that moment on. No, it wasn't funny at the time but 20 years later I can stil see the man, hear him yelling and see his wife who was mortified and upset by his confusion.

Pt had a catheter which he hated.  He wanted to get it out.  He called the hospital operator early one morning and asked for the urologists phone # and actually paged the Dr.  Dr R calls the nurse station at 7:30 AM thinking we paged him. At least the Dr had a sense of humor about it!  But yeah, your name followed by that phrase is kinda difficult to handle all day.

oh my Judi!

yeah, it' funny stuff like that to remember about all the years in pt care.

Most of my facebook friends are former coworkers from the ER.  I miss the people....just not the repeat players in the place as well as the daily butt kiss meeting.

I washed my doggie today! Cleeeeaaaan doggie. All shiny and soft and nice smelling. No more stinky doggie.

She's still stupid, though. Got any shampoo for that?

Uh, can you wash my doggie too now? K'Thanks. I'll send him right over to you.

I wash lots of people's doggies. Ones who are scared to go to the groomer's come to me.

I wish you were here to take care of my doggies so I could go have some fun

Hey, you know me. I always love and really know how to take care of a wiener.

I love BT. Where else could you reasonably discuss Nibblers, wieners and knockers and actually be ... okay, wait, I was going to say "serious," but never mind.

Kids might be here tomorrow; they were going to try tonight, but flights were late/overbooked so they'll try again in the morning.

I'm totally unmotivated to wrap their gifts though. I should be excited about the visit and now I'm just truly depressed. Blah.

Oh honey. Again, I don't know what it's like to have kids, but I know the feeling of where you're at.

Just try wrapping one gift. The rest will follow.

It is really more complex than that... you know, relationship falling apart, not wanting to be here anymore, not liking my job, and feeling totally adrift in where I want to go/do with my life. I mean, I've got choices, good choices, but I'm not happy with any of them.

After almost 2 years in California... I'm just not that impressed. Overpriced, overcrowded, uber-liberal in the worst possible ways. But pondering a move to North Carolina doesn't exactly thrill me either.

Well... But the gifts are for the kids. Think about them. Think about how excited they'll be to see you, and see their gifts.

Dee's right, honey. There's nothing you can do RIGHT NOW about your complicated circumstances or your feelings about them, but what you CAN do is focus on your kids and get those gifts wrapped.

You're very capable of doing good things even when you don't feel like it, because I've seen you do it. Hang in there, pup.

Spokes - 2008-12-28 7:15 PM I really doubt they'll be here tomorrow. The planes are STILL oversold... and if they're not here on Tuesday, the visit will simply have to be cancelled, and I guess I'll see them in April for Spring Break. Another f*cking year. This is really becoming unacceptable.

Now that's a really crappy situation. I'm sorry.

My sister and her hubby will be here within the hour.

I "need" to do a bit more cleaning.  I also need to wrap some presents.

I just broke out the 3000 piece Jigsaw puzzle...and not, that wasn't a typo.

I love puzzles!!!

I do 1000 piece puzzles by myself-takes around 4 hours I think. It is great stress relief.

I knit my sister a hat for Christmas.  It didn't fit.  Since I've been on vacation, I knit myself a hat, half of my sister's new hat, and half of a baby elephant.  I have to finish both of the projects before we go home so I can give them to the right people.  I think basically all I've done on vacation is knit.

You didn't.  I haven't been here too long.  Probably won't be able to stay very long, either.

I just dropped in-I have been a busy little helpful bee.

I will probably go back to not being quite so helpful once school starts-so I better rack up the bonus points now.  It will put off threats of no health insurance for a few months at least.

You're of great service to your family--at some cost to yourself.

But health insurance is a must indeed!
