Hey guys,

I was just looking at our sheet, and it only has Michelle listed as withdrawing from the challenge.  Didn't someone else withdraw because they broke their nose?  I don't know if I'm remembering correctly, but that might be bringing our totals down...

Good morning, A-Team (last time saying that - snif! snif!)Cry,

I'm off to the Y at lunchtime for a swim and a spin.  Not sure where that will put me vs. goals.  I hate not having access to the spreadsheet here at work.  I think I'm well above my goals on bike, run and posting, but I'll fall a little short on swimming.

HAPPY FRIDAY! Anyone have any fun/exciting weekend plans?  We've got softball and soccer games tonight and tomorrow.  I'm doing a long bike ride tomorrow morning.  Sunday, we're taking the kids to a Wilmington Blue Rocks game (minor league baseball team) and then riding our bikes along the Wilmington waterfront.  They're calling for 90 degrees and sunny both Saturday and Sunday... WOOT!Laughing

Hmmm..  Girl Scout "beach party" tonight, with some late night trainer riding later.  Tomorrow we have a soccer game.  I'd like to actually get an outside ride in too!  Our big plan is to re-seal our driveway...  Fun stuff!

Oh, and I can't forget watch the Derby!!

Lol, I should watch the derby too!  Last week I saw some horses practicing during my race, haha!

brick94513 - 2010-04-30 11:00 AM Good morning peeps!  Last day of the month and it looks like a rest day for me.

Oh God, 24 hours of MTBing tomorrow.  What was I thinking?  I think I have a pretty solid game plan, but everyone knows how that goes!  I need to get out and start getting all my junk together.  Procrastination strikes once again!

Wow, good luck!!

pdbman - 2010-04-30 11:44 AM Got in a swim, some strength training and time on the trainer last night. I'm starting to feel the double and triple workouts I'm doing to try to catch up on my goals. Swimming is where it is affecting me the most. One more day then I'll take it easy with just a run on Saturday and nothing on Sunday.

Haven't even thought about my goals for May yet. No major races, just the Race for the Cure on the 10th. Maybe a sprint tri if I can find a local one that will fit into the schedule. Weekends are pretty busy in May. Also need to focus more on the running so I will be ready for the relay in June. Anyone had any ideas for a challenge for May? I'll really miss it if we don't have one.

I totally hear you about the triple workout thing!  I did that yesterday, but luckily the 2 in the morning were yoga and swimming.  But boy, do I feel it in my shoulders and upper back today!

I've been so focused on marathon training, that I haven't really even thought about what my goals for next month are, either!  Luckily I'm going off a BT plan, but cutting out the running for a few weeks since I figure I won't lose run fitness that fast and I really need to catch up on swimming and biking!  So yeah, my May goals will be swim/bike heavy...

I was goin to pass for May, but if Bill is startin' something up, I better get my butt over there!

brick94513 - 2010-04-29 2:56 PM Well the weather cleared some here.  Nice and windy though, so everything is blowin' Arnie's (Paul) way.

I forced myself to go out to the lake today and get at least one OWS done for the month.  Water wasn't bad.  If I had to guess, I would say about 58 degrees.

Transitioned from the swim to a trail.  I did the upper portion of the 10k loop for the Xterra.  It was tough.  Trail was muddy and slippery making the climbs and descents a pain in the butt.

Rest day tomorrow, race Saturday.

Way to get out for the OWS! I am sooo itchin to get out there... Very windy here too, has been for some time now!

Is it me Kim or is the wind just brutal this week?????

It's been bad for about 2 weeks now!

Hey "A" team...I don't know if we won or lost...but I think we had a good month...or at least you guys all pushed me to have a great month.

For the men of "A team"...let's carry it to May...and for the women...you better give us a run for our money...or pride...or legs...or whatever bill says we're playing for...

You're right!  I see the spreadsheet is updated now... and we're still really behind Undecided

Oh well.  Still, I think it was a pretty good month!  These challenges definitely help keep me motivated, and it was fun being on the team with everyone.

Ladies, see you in May!  Gents- BRING IT!
