newleaf - 2008-03-27 8:56 AM Yes, make sure you show your roommate you care. That is, before you kill her.

I instantly knew it was Wurkit's thread even before I saw her name on it

Seriously - she's a nutbag - go read the thread if you're bored and want some entertainment.

I got home at like 1130 last night and spent about 20 minutes studying that thread. It was very entertaining! Good stuff.

I was going to reply that VAMDDCBTTC should have a party at Wurkits house and we can stick everybody on her until she screams Uncle and moves out. I think that would work wonderfully

That actually wouldn't be a bad idea S, my normal roommate, although she is a good church-going gal is about as liberal as I am, so it's not as if you'd offend her. S is not the reason I don't have people over to my house - it's K. S and I rarely have friends come by because K is so judgemental and bratty - and it's embarassing.

It has been mentioned to me that someone on a posting hiatus is really into verbally abusive skinny girls that are btitchy roomies
and he is willing to take her out on a date (or a one night stand - which is his favorite kind of date) in order to help out a friend.

Wurkit, can you pass him her number?

Sadly, he wouldn't get any booty from her - at least nothing beyond basic fooling around. And I'm not even sure she does that on the first date. Yeah, we're stuck with her until she gets married...

Chrissy, why do you always disrespect his skills? A secret source that I can't reveal tells me that he is pretty good It doesn't hurt to let him go at it does it?

Oh, I'm not doubting his skills at all. Just letting you know that I'd be HIGHLY surprised that she'd give it up. But she IS desperate enough that she's trolling bars for guys, with the thought that she might find one who MIGHT be interested in faith/God even if he's not attending church. So 3558 could fake that angle...

Did I kill the thread?

Blech, I feel yucky today. But I MUST run 5 miles tonight, so I don't get any farther behind on the 10-Miler plan. Will be getting up and doing an easy 3 miles tomorrow morning as it is, as I don't have time after work tomorrow. And I'd prefer to have a "rest" day before I run 8 miles on Sunday, even though I have a 40-mile bike ride on Saturday.

Quick question - so for the purposes of both the century ride training and kicking NL's a$$ at the April 461.3 challenge, I need to be able to log actual mileage on the trainer. The computer on my bike is wireless, but it's set up on the front wheel. Am I going to have to get a new computer? Or would I be able to simply move the sensor and the magnet from the front to the back? I don't know if the range on those things is good enough, if I left the computer up front, where it is. The computer comes off its mount, of course, but I'd need to have it where I could see it so I know how far I've gone. I feel like there are ones that are special that you can mount in the back, but I can't really afford to get another one, esp. if it's going to be pricey.

I have a bike computer that I don't use. Maybe you can have it or if you gots something simple we can trade It's a still in box cateye with cadence.

Or you just move the sensor, I think, if its not too far from the computer. Not an expert on this.

I'm gonna try moving it to see what happens. If not, we can talk deals.

I put Z's sensor on the back, and the computer on the cross bar, so you essentially look between your legs at it, rather than on the handle bars.  The manual said it had t be within 2 feet; I'm going to move it to the handle bars to test its range though.  If I were you I would just move the sensor to the back wheel and see if it works.

This is true...  I enjoy looking between my legs, but I don't stop there, you may see my eyes wander to look between other peoples legs while they ride.  Hey, who wants to go riding, this is getting exciting?

Whatever number of hours you do, just multiply it by 10.5, and there's your mileage.

Fine, ok, was just trying to be generous.  Ok, multiply by 10.  More accurate?  No computer needed.

Whatever number of hours you do, just multiply it by 10.5, and there's your mileage.

I don't trust you...:-P I am getting an ACCURATE count, every time.

Fine, ok, was just trying to be generous.  Ok, multiply by 10.  More accurate?  No computer needed.

That depends on whether she is going to make it realisitic; up hill and down hill are different.  Up hill x 10, down hill x 4.5
