Go ride! Just imagine how strong your quads are becoming when you are riding into the wind!

Um, it's probably not a good time to tell you that it's 70 F here today. But it's going to rain later on, if that makes you feel any better. Have a nice ride.

We'll be back to 70s soon enough.  They are actually predicting upper 80s for later in the week.  That makes me happy

Artemis - 2009-04-19 4:10 PM I got my run in this afternoon. Have to go back to working at some point, but I'm not quite ready for it now.

Glad you got the run in.  It makes for a good work break

Straight into the headwind on the flats I was doing about 14 mph.  Ugh, talk about difficult

The straight tailwind was pretty sweet though.  I was actually spinning out in my highest gear on the flats, it was crazy.

But the sections of my ride where I had a crosswind was downright scary.  Pretty much made me decide to bag the ride early.

blujay65 - 2009-04-18 1:48 PM Hey PPG's!

Back from my race! Yea, it was a good day, and to think I almost bailed! It was a much larger field than the last race, but a bit shorter in distance. I got second in my AG (40-44) and had a lot of fun on the course. It was hilly and windy but I saw good improvement from my last race. It's nice to see when your training actually works! Thanks all of you for such inspiration and positive energy!!! My race report is up so you can see more detailed info.

Awesome job Jen!

Nope. I'm boring too.

I am so far behind. Sorry, team.

But I have had some good runs. Plus a race this morning that went quite well. Second in my age group. Wahoo.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Great Job!....I've been slackin in the checking in dept also!

blujay65 - 2009-04-19 7:04 AM Good Morning PPG's!

An overcast and warm Sunday here in the deep south, thunder storms on the horizon; classic spring weather. Have a lot to do today, so it may just be a rest day. That should be OK as I need to do a longer run tomorrow morning.

What's everyone else up to?

cold and rainy here today...glad I had an 8hr cycle training!

rlejeune - 2009-04-19 11:13 AM Just got back from my long run. It's nice to see how much we can improve with training. last year around the same time I was happy to come back home after a 20k ride on my bike.

This morning I went and ran 20k. Amazing how much training changes everything

I love saying things like I'm just going for a "short 5miles" and feel like it was easy!

rlejeune - 2009-04-19 12:16 PM Question for you all, are you member of a Triathlon club? If so how expensive is it?

There's one here and I am thinking about joining them. It's around 1k a year but this include a coach, not sure how personnal the coaching is though. It also include 3 swimming session per week. Running and riding sessions too with the coach.

I belong to the Y's tri club and it is $25 for the year. We get together once a month for a group 'something" and a potluck. We put our schedules out and will train together when times work out. We have a run training for this month. Last month we did bike/run brick with transitions. We don't have a "coach" but there is a pro triathlete that is part of our club and we can ask her for help whenever we need it.

Hi Phil!

Evening, KK!  Just a little ending note for the night and watching Twilight, for the second time.  Good movie, even if I'm not a 'tweener.
