Jackie,
Please ignore Bill's comments... he's a former dorkface and recovering muck raker.  Just look at the first 3 words of the last line of his signature line... "MY TEAM LOST"!!!

Yes, I believe he did and MY team beat his...so time to RAMP IT UP bEASTies....one more week!  I feel a poem coming on...ahem...

We are the bEASTies from the east y'all
Comin' to kick sum butt y'all
Wearin' bicycle cleats, we will defeat
Those other guys from the West y'all

The TWISTERS blow a lotta hot air
Back home in the EAST where the weather's fair
There ain't no such thing as a losing streak
So swimmin', we're winnin', we're the team to beat

Running in the East, dripping blood, sweat and tears
The bEASTies are on fire; we know what the Twisters fear
Running, swimming, biking bEASTs from East
Go home and cry yourself to sleep, no shame in the least

ETA - got quotes around my own post

Great poem, Cindy!  I'm fired up!  I'm going to run around my desk 5 times!  I'm going to swim home from work!  I'm going to do 5-a-day workouts!

5-a-days?!  Yee hawww!

I'm gonna bring my bike/trainer to work so that I can ride WHILE working!  (Haha, I dunno what my boss would do if I *actually* did that)

Goal 2 - 59.9% - 66.8%
Goal 3 - 52.0% - 63.7%

I'm not at all concerned about the individual goals, but the OVERALL is cause for concern...We're down by 3.4%!  Let's get those workouts in bEASTies!  No fading down the stretch.  Doesn't matter where you are vs. goal or what's happened so far this month.  Just get those workouts in any way you can...  And as many as you can.  I doubled up today and I'm planning on doubling up again tomorrow and Friday.

Here we go bEASTies, here we go!
Here we go bEASTies, here we go!

Hecks yeah!  We're not "behind". . .  It's just the calm before the storm!  Don't you know, you have to RAISE the hammer before letting it DROP?!

Finish strong, team!  Finish strong!!

Oh what a cute little poem. But when you look at the numbers, it looks like the bEASTies are all show and no go.

ebshot - 2010-03-24 12:44 PM UGH!  Today has turned into an unplanned rest day.  The school nurse called just as I was getting ready to ride and run.  Cole is sick again.  Stomach virus.  Again.  Really???  So, he is home, all showered and watching a movie.  I guess I could ride the trainer but my motivation left when the phone call came.

uggg sorry to hear Cole is sick again.

rnihill - 2010-03-24 1:18 PM I am so jealous of those of you who can work out in the morning.   If I can manage to get my body out of bed and to the pool, I can usually get a good swim workout in.  And I feel good the rest of the day too.  And I get to smell like chlorine...  love it!  But my body just doesn't agree with biking and especially running until I've been awake for at least an hour.  I'm miserable doing it and I'm miserable later because I got less sleep and wasted time on a crappy workout.

I've toyed with the idea of weaning myself off the coffee in the morning.  Maybe if my body doesn't depend on it to wake up, I could wake up easier in the morning and actually get some workouts in?  I don't know if I am that brave though.  I really like my coffee.Wink

I'm with you on the coffee...but I don't have issues working out in the AM or PM! It used to be a problem that if I didn't get the workout in right away it didn't get done because I let other things get in the way......now I make the time.

I am now publicly promising to put on my running shoes and, well, run TODAY.  If I can grab enough time, I will try to repeat last week's ten-mile route.  There, I said it.  Now, I have to do it.  Thanks bEASTies.

bEASTies,  I am waaaaay behind in reading posts, so I have no idea what's going on with the rest of you.  I did an AM swim and I'm planning a PM bike ride.  At some point, I am simply going to have to force myself to put on my darn running shoes.  I'll catch up on post reading later when I log in my bike ride.  jackie

Jackie,

You guys conceded to us TWISTERs so you don't need to log any more workouts.  Other than that there was just a lot of rejoicing that the torture was over, you could relax knowing that the TWISTER's rule, and you were just going to drink the rest of the month.

It was kind of sad to be honest with you - I was hoping for a good fight through 3/31 but it was not in the cards.

See you next month.

I just found this.  Nothing will come between me and a 10-mile run this afternoon.  Thanks, Enemy Bill.
