skrtrnr - 2010-02-16 12:48 PM well heck.

kinda of slow day in the Village.

its been a slow day round here.

still working on laundry...the BANE of my existence.

AND i cleared out MY side of our walk in closet.

i know my husband is reluctant to move forward, but i.  am.  not.

it was good feeling moving all my clothes from 'our' into my zen space.  makes it feel more like 'home'.

im sure there will come a time when i can move back in to the Master, today is just not the day.

perhaps i'll/we'll move away altogether.....to someplace....hmmmmm let me think......WARM AND SUNNY

not sure i'll get a run in today or not.

figure this month has been a bit of a bust anyhow what w the weather and missed training sessions.  i need to take a look at my training schedule the end of this week/beginning of next and figure out where i'm at.

im fairly certain 1/2 IM training should be starting relatively soon, but...i kinda lost track.

no worries i was coming in at 6 mile base for my long run, and im there, so its ALL good.

looking forward to the swim meet on Saturday.

hell.

who am i kidding.

im looking forward to the AFTER PARTY.

the WAVE (our team) is just a friggin fun group to hang out with!

cheers!

1) Since you're on a laundry kick I'll drop mine off for you

2) I haven't run since we've started getting all this dang snow. It starts again today though, May 2nd will be here before we know it.

in regards to

1)  NO. but you can bring yourself AND your laundry. i have a BIG BOTTLE OF WHITE ZINF in the refrigerator.  we can have helluva a time doing laundry

2)  HELL YA MAY 2ND IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER BABY.  WHOOP!  GHOULIE GIRL WEEKEND!

stacieb

Alcohol could be the 1 thing that makes laundry more interesting.

There may be homemade wine making the trip with me in May. I'm not sure yet, but there IS a possibility.

that....and a few other things for sure.

you gotta do what you gotta do.

stacieb

Ok... a nekkid pool boy doing the laundry for us while we are enjoying the wine would make it interesting as well.

ceilidh - 2010-02-16 12:39 PM Raspberry zinfandel sounds nice. I had a neighbor who made excellent wines. Everything from dry to sweet, reds, whites. I miss him!

i was just about ready to say the same thing.....

i finally found my favorite (to date) White Zinfandel.

COPPER RIDGE.

im on a GLOBAL (AND YES I MEAN GLOBAL) search for the PERFECT glass of White Zinf.

so far this one tops the list.

well GHOULIES im heading out.

need to make a few returns AND....can you believe it....the store LEFT the security tag on my bathing suit.

went to put it on last night and what did i find???

kinda of funny, especially TOM, with your suggestion of putting a GPS tracker on my new suit.  LOL.

too bad they dont have a security system at the Y for when bathing suit nappers steal YOUR bathing suit!

kinda wondering how i got out of the store w the thing.....

Keep us posted Bill.
I am out of here. Getting on the drainer instead of a run. It is too windy for this lady to run. I do NOT like wind-chill. Nope, not even a little bit.

I'll check in tomorrow. It is going to be a long day. Meetings all am then Drs offices in the pm.

Have fun Ghoules and Ghoulettes.

I did the same thing today. I wanted to run but it is just too windy and the snow is blowing and I had no desire to be cold and wet the whole time. The drainer it was for me.

Minimum 100 miles - limited support in the shape of convenience marts and gas stations.  Lots of hills!

Hello Ghoulies,
I don't know you but I need motivation.  Working from home today because of snow.  Started the day with a nice 90 minute Spinervals workout.  Worked all morning.  Bored this afternoon.  Have since consumed (this is since lunch), 6 cups of air pop popcorn, 15 pecans, 3 pieces of toast with butter and brown sugar (yum!).  What am I thinking?????   Currently weigh 119, best marathon race weight is 110.  Was 115 8 days ago before all this nasty snow.

So.... how do you sign on for some online conscience and willpower?

givemashot - 2010-02-16 12:54 PM Hi guys. Got my little run in on the treadmill...I actually ran 2 of the 3 or so miles I put in. Shins are feeling good so far. My hubby called me as I was leaving the gym...he made it to Johannesburg (sp?) safely. Now I get to go shower and go to a meeting at work. What is it with meetings today?!?!? Any thoughts on the question I posed late last night about upping my run mileage? Oh, and Ann(e), check out th bike on javbike.com Click onthe specials link on the left side, toward the bottom of the list. I have a javelin tri bike, and a friend of mine has the javelin narni tri bike they have on special. Thy are a great company to work with, and I have been very happy with my tri bike. I think I'll be just as happy with my road bike (when it gets here....i just HAD to go onvacation instead of having them ship it right away...)Be back later to check in. 8)

Amy is in the house!  Johannesburg as in South Africa????  Wow - that is pretty cool!

Have a great day!

Yep, that's the one. Cool but sad at the same time. He's headed to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and he doesnt get internet access while he's there. *gasp* We do text back and forth a little bit, though, because it costs $4/minute to actually talk. He's gone for about a week and a half, then he's home overnight and then he heads off to Phoenix for a week. I tell my friends in the local tri club "he exists, I promise!" They believe me.

Gotta get ready for swimming....sigh...Undecided...that run has definately taken quite a bit out of me after the fact...so ready for a good sleep tonight...

Finished a drainer ride...watched some Jane Austen Book Club...its such a funny movie...if you love Jane Austen that is...its so perfect! 60min...

Cleaned my room a bit....it was an actual mess...found lots of socks though...

Been watching the Olympics...we won another GOLD in Snowboard Cross..still waiting on a speed skating medal...hopefully that happens before I have to leave for swim practice..

Need to buy some new Swedish goggles...been using some speedo ones with foam which I hadnt used forever until about 2 months ago when I couldnt find my Swedes...but now the running room store is open at the pool and I can get my goggles!! Foam always rips...then it leaks...bad news...Swedes are awesome...if yuo don't know what they are: they are goggles that you "build" yourself and are just hard plastic...no foam or rubber around the eyes...they are the bestest!

OOH, I haven't had cinnamon toast for a long time. Kinda close to toast with brown sugar--except it's toast with cinnamon and white sugar. As far as the motivation thing--I'm not much help. I am only down maybe a pound or two for the month. Where do you live? How much snow do you have? I have found that if you keep your fingers busy typing it is hard to use them to stuff food into your mouth.

I so need to find a new pair of goggles. The ones I have been using for alnost a year leave me with major racoon eyes for hours after I swim. And they are sooo not tight. Plus I get this weird reflection of what's next to and behind me when I'm swimming...not good when swimming in open water (at least not if you're a scaredy cat like me...).

The shirts are at the printers now, hopefully they are done soon.

I don't want anything for the shirts.

I'm just a natural at being cool. I don't have to work at it, it just happens.
