Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good morning Ghoulies! I am all for a 3 day weekend every weekend! We built the ponds. Yesterday we added some plants, and Keri bought a few goldfish and added. We also picked up some tadpoles and added them to the still water pond. I need to rig up something for shade over that since I have them in there. Between wagon loads of hay yesterday we'd sit by the pond and watch all the swimming.

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good morning Ghoulies. Hope that everyone had a nice weekend. Robin - I hope the "teenagers" had a great time. Ann - Sounds like you had a busy weekend. Dee - How was the west coast? We had the grandkids all weekend, backyard water slide on Sat, Hike up Stone Mountain and the pool on Sunday and then game night. Monday they left mid morning and Frank and I collapsed, LOL. (we actually did some shopping, went to the gym and then the pool, very relaxing) Edited by kns57 2014-05-27 6:20 AM |

That is how it is supposed to be for Ghoulies and their friends and family, The teenagers were their usual incorrigible selves. I did nothing, absolutely nothing healthy all weekend. Well, except laugh and visit with long term (I refuse to use the word OLD) friends. That is soul redeeming! Off to get needles stuck in my foot and hands this morning and then a LONG phone conference. I have to get my bike ride in, too. It will be inside. We have been having some adrenalin inducing storms here. Complete with hail and lightening and wind. Have GREAT fake Monday's Ghoulies. Ann, I couldn't see the picture of the pond. |

I just sent you a text with the picture I posted on Saturday. It looks a little different now. I moved the hose leading to the waterfall, and there are now a few plants, and goldfish. I was looking at the pictures Jim posted of the shenanigans this weekends. Looks like a lot of fun! |

Dang, were did all those old people come from? Heck, they have been getting together every year since 1982, I guess some grey hair, and baldness is allowed. |

Some messages (from I phones usually) come in as pictures and have to be downloaded as such and some photos come in fine. Who knows? |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. I forgot to mention, yesterday morning, early, so people wouldn't be on the beach yet to see me if I fell in, we went to the lake and I tried out the SUP. I liked it. It's hard, and I need to practice a lot more in flat water. Normally I wouldn't care about getting wet but the lake water was SO COLD yesterday morning that I didn't want to end up in it. I think that made me more nervous. I still need to work on turning. I may watch a few youtube videos. Keri took a turn, too. Of course she's smaller, lower center of gravity and all that, she had no problems balancing. Turns a bit of an issue for her too, though. Donnie didn't want to take a turn. Caleb didn't go with us, he definitely didn't want a turn. When we were done my legs were shaking. Donnie asked me if I was that nervous. I said no, I was shaking because I had to use my legs so much to balance, it was a lot of work. Maybe I was working, too hard, I don't know. |

It is really hard and then BAM, you find the sweet spot and it is much easier. Nice workout though. It will be easier when the water is warmer. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good morning Ghoulies! We had thunderstorms roll through yesterday afternoon. My Golden Lab, Wynn, was not happy about it. I have never seen her get worked up about storms before. She hid behind a recliner and was panting heavily, and looking like she was very anxious. |

Wow, those storms must have been something else if Wynn was upset by them. I love thunderstorms, but not when they are out of control. There was a lot of lightning, but I didn't think the storm was too bad until right near the end. It stopped suddenly, then started up with a roar and the wind was blowing in all different directions. That kind of scared me a little. I had my phone on me though, and I get popups from my one weather app if there would have been any kind of warning put it, and I got nothing. That lasted maybe 10 minutes, then it was done and the storms moved out. |

Or the radar was clear, and we'd be getting hit with bad weather. So, they're not perfect. |

Here is a semi-related story: We know when we are going to get hit with the storms from a hurricane coming from the Atlantic when we see white Egrets here. They fly up the Broad river from the coast and hang out here. If you see white Egrets in Lake Lure, batten down the hatches. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Ok, possible mini crisis at my house right now... Keri has a lunchbox that is freezable, and then it keeps the contents cold. When she was removing it from the freezer this morning it got hooked on the thermostat, and she completely ripped the thermostat and housing out of the freezer. She must have had Wheaties for breakfast. Donnie tried, but doesn't think he was able to fix it. He thinks the freezer is broken, yet he didn't remove the contents and put them in the freezer downstairs. <sigh> Our appliances are that bisque color. Would having a refrigerator that isn't the same color as the stove and dishwasher be an unforgivable sin? I'm thinking if I went stainless steel it would look too bad. What say you? |

But I get them all again starting Thursday night until Monday morning. And no parents with them this weekend, so next week I'll really collapse. But have to admit, loving every moment, good and bad. Kendra, are you recovered yet from your time with the grandkids? |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. So, we found out that our SIL is going to Korea for his next assignment. Tanya and the kids will be going back to Manteca, California while he is gone. They lived there the longest and she has a good homeschooling group that she is a part of there. I'm bummed that she will be so far away, but at the same time I understand the need to have people there 24/7. I know that they made good friends there and have talked about moving there after our SIL is done with the army, so it really did not come as a surprise that she decided to go there for the year. I keep telling her that I'm pouting. |

I used to LOVE to travel by myself (or so I thought) to visit my grandparents. And they passed away when I was little, I have such vivid, fun memories. |
