bcart1991 - 2008-07-20 9:54 PM Working on cars is deceptively tiring. Much easier when you have a lift, for sure. I'd be doubly sore if I had to replace things lying under the car. That said, she's *almost* tip-top for next Saturday's autocross. Saturday evening I got to play with my friend's personal protection dogs that he trains (he works for Homeland Security, ex-Navy SEAL, etc). And by "play" I mean "put on a bite sleeve" and experience an 85-lbs American Bulldog hitting that sleeve at full speed. That bugger would NOT let go, even after I wrestled my arm out of the sleeve. It's still kind of sore from the hit. Intimidatiing for sure. That dog is a BEAST. Good times, good times. Errbody have a good weekend? Mine was pretty decent.

Yeah, working on cars can be tiring, for me it was also frustrating most of the time.  I wasn't very good at it.

American Bulldog = pit bull, right?  Don't they get lock-jaw? (inability to release once they've really bit into something).  Bet 85lbs of muscle and teeth hitting your arm at full throttle is an interesting experience.  I can believe you're sore after that.

Weekend was good.  Very interesting at times.  Great workout in the am today.  Crap workout tonight trying to run the memorial 5k.  Been a while since my body just quit on me, but I should be understanding, it was a long day.

No they aren't.. AB is the closest relative to the English bulldog.. the lock jaw thing is a myth.. doesn't actually happen..

Lockjaw or not, he sure as h@ll didn't let go of that sleeve.

Oh, and jello shots and Yeungling Black & Tan abounded Saturday night as well. Being a BMW geek has its advantages.

I stand corrected.  Never had a dog that wasn't a mutt, so I'm not to terribly clear on breeds.  We've had dogs that refused to release, I guess that's different than unable, if they were unable to release they'd only be able to eat once in their life, so I guess that makes sense.

OH NOES!

Ice it up for a bit. It's gonna swell, but you probably already knew that. Go easy on it for a while. My twists usually heal after a few days, but I've been blessed with really flexible joints.

Get well, get well soon. We want you to get well. [/Seinfeld]

Okay, I REALLY need to go to bed.

Good morning everybody.  So it's storming pretty bad outside right now.  This morning I have to go to a meeting with my boss and one of my bigger customers to discuss why he's $180k behind on purchases compared to last year.  Unfortunately my company car died over the weekend (bad battery in a car with 14k miles on it) so I was planning on using my motorcycle to get to the meeting.  Not sure exactly how I'm going to work it all out now. Oh well.  Hope y'all have a good day.

Thanks, guys! Yeah, I'm not sure where that came from, but dang, it's sure nice to look at a run time and see an 8 instead of a 9 or 10! Funny thing is, I didn't even feel like I was going that fast.

Bah.

Woulda been sarcastic if the statement was correct.

I couldn't get to sleep until late last night either. No clue why. Not feeling it too badly though.

How was the cookout? Tales of questionable morality and debauchery?

I know - I'm curious (but keep it fairly clean, of course ). As I was stuck in a hot car in traffic yesterday afternoon, I thought how tasty steak and shrimp and beer would be...
