Shoeless - 2009-04-20 3:55 PM Hi team! I got an 8.2 mile run today, as per the plan. Tomorrow I'm hoping to take a big bite out of the bike mileage I have left. DH is working out of town, and I want to ride 40 miles (with the wind ) to meet him on his way home. It is supposed to be 76 degrees, WAHOO! My computer is still sick, so I'm trying to stay off line. May have to bring it back to the doc. Phooey.

Bummer about sick computer.  Cool to meet hubby on your bike.  Will you then catch a ride with him, or ride back.

ceilidh - 2009-04-20 9:21 AM Today I am intending to finish out my challenge. Tomorrow is surgery day and I am not sure that I will make many more runs this month. I was hoping for 50 miles this month but will settle for 40. Slowly, slowly I am building up.

40 is still a good month.  Hope all goes well with the surgery tomorrow!

I just found the official results for Saturday's 5K:

5/46 AG (includes walkers); 37 seconds off the podium (since the top in my AG was the top F finisher so doesn't count here)
23/178 F (includes walkers)
110/360 OA M+F

Definitely my best running race ever!

Good job That was really close.

blujay65 - 2009-04-20 12:25 PM Just got back from my long run I managed 9 miles and feel good! I was able to run on a few fun dirt trails during the run to break up the monotony, it slowed me up a bit but was worth it. Now I am enjoying my favorite snack; a berry smoothie with milk and chocolate protein powder! Yummy!

Sounds Yummy Awesome job on the 9 miler

Tuckered, for some reason that made me laugh when I used it earlier.  The fact that you used it too, Jen, made me smile.  Again I'm not sure why.

On my way home from the pool I stopped at a stoplight and standing in the median was a girl dressed as a slice of pizza.  She knocked on my window and offered me a free slice from the local pizza joint.  Heck yes, I'll take a free slice.  It really hit the spot after my workouts

No riding back. The wind blows from the south, and I'm going to ride north. It has been a goal of mine to ride to this little town 40 miles away. There are two mountain passes to pull, and I'm up for the challenge, so long as I don't have to push the wind back!
