wgraves7582 - 2010-04-14 9:23 AM Morning everyone - back from KC and while I was gone for the day it turns out that my father is going to be admitted to a local nursing home for some respit care due to some health concerns from his parkinsons. He has lived with us for 4 years now. Basically my wife was the bearer of all the news since I was gone and I have to give kudos when deserved - she did a great job handling it all. I spoke to the doctor (a friend) last night as my only part in the process. We are waiting to hear back from the insurance company to determine which action to take and when it will happen.

Could be today - could be next week. Guess our God knows a lot more than I do - LOL. I asked for clarity on the TransIowa withdrawal and this wipes the fog away pretty quickly if I do say so myself.

I will be around - not totally with it yet - 5 hours of sleep with 20 hours of travel will do that to Bill.

Hope you all had a great day yesterday - our weather is beyond words. Time for a bike ride tonight - in the dirt!!!

My last job most of us worked in one building. A few of the contractors, and the contractor HQ was up in this other building. People would say they were going up there and they'd disappear for hours. We started joking that there was a spa up there.

We wanted to get appointments with the masseuse, Sven.

In job interviews, where they ask the question "how do you deal with stress, or a difficult customer?"

I reply with "I've got an 80 pound punching bag at home." That always gets a laugh. I've always gotten the job where they've asked that question, too.

LOL....Well, you are making further progress than I am! I have added a cheese bagel to my coffee and computer. And watching the city men tear up the street in front of our house. It had a HUGE pothole that they are finally fixing! One is running the huge bulldozer/jackhammer. Two are watching. Perhaps to direct all the traffic on our quiet deadend residential road? LOL

Morning Ghoulies. Just a quick drive by. Am off to NYC for the afternoon. My sister arrives tonight with my niece and oldest nephew. M stays with me, while the oldest and his mom go down to DC for a college visit. No clue as to what we're going to do for the next couple days, but am sure we can entertain ourselves. The only rule I laid down was no 3D movies. They seriously make me want to throw up. As in dizzy, sweaty, gonna puke if I don't get out of here. Anything else she wants to do, I'm game. I'm sure the city can provide plenty of entertainment.

Bill, sorry to hear about your Dad. As always, things have a way of working out for the best when we do what is right. You never doubted what was right for you re TransIowa.

Hugs and ghoulie kisses to all. I know I've missed too much to catch up so will go forward from here.

Off to one more meeting here and then battle the crazies into the city.
