I guess there will be no more hiding here from my hubby....  I just showed him how to set up his account and get logged in.... so if you see a crazy polak lurking around ("luvkielbasa"  yep, that's my hubby...

I wonder if we won't end up fighting for the computer now???

Also, I had a smoothie with soymilk in it and I think I'm having an allergic reaction to it. I'm kind of allergic to soy, but usually don't react. My ears and throat are itchy.

Waiting for the Benadryl to kick in. Might not get in a ride today if this gets any worse...

Ummm, yeah, that's not a good reaction. If you get short of breath hit the nearest ER!

Unfortunately, I know that lesson way too well.  That's how I figured out I was really allergic to almonds.  I think I need to get an epi pen refill when I go to the doctor next week.

The Benadryl did clear it up.  No trip to the ER makes me happy.

luvkielbasa is an awesome name!  Then again, my family is Polish, so I appreciate those kinds of things.

Did you take any Pepcid?  As a Histamine blocker it works really well in allergic reaction.  We used it with SoluMedrol and Benadryl in the ER all the time.

My husband was doing a lot of housework when I got back from the ride today.  With his help we cleaned the downstairs pretty well.  I vacuumed under the dishwasher and found the toy Mocha came home with almost  2 years ago.  He has been playing with it all afternoon, I think he's glad to see it.

Have to take C shopping tonight for a pair of shoes for the "wedding" and a new bathing suit...

Feel like visiting Utah... you can do my house next

Ha!  I think he did it cause I haven't been cleaning too much lately and it looked really bad.

No, usually I take like three Benadryl.  If that doesn't help fairly quickly, I take an Epi Pen.  I might have to try the Pepcid.  It has been awhile since I've had a bad food reaction, though, so I was a little surprised today.

Had lots of fun on the metric century bike ride today. Averaged 20.7 mph for 62 miles. Yay!!! Hubby averaged over 22 mph. He would have been faster, but he stopped to help his riding partner with a flat, a very noble thing to do.

I have to confess, I am a total novice about the Tour deFrance - I watched a bit of it last year, but I honestly have no idea about how it all works - I will watch and learn!

Thats ok Beth - we can all help you get obsessed about it

Actually I found a lot of people got into it with the challenge because i assigned teams according to actual teams and provided some rider information etc

What this meant was people who didnt know about the Tour all of a sudden had a team and riders to support/watch based on their team in the challenge... it was really exciting watching people get into the sport through that!

Oh!!! Can I request to be on team SlipStream??? Anybody else read about them in Outside this month???

That's my favorite team, too. I love the argyle! So if Cat is taking requests....

All requests in the challenge thread when I get it up and running please... I just hope that EVERYONE doesnt want to be on that one team!

That might be a problem.  As long as you know who has the most important requests.

Or just state that people have to have a first and second preferenece if making team requests in the event of everyone wanting to be the American team...

Last year I thought that would happen with Discovery and it didnt so you never know...

Artemis - 2008-06-21 11:59 AM I like having my hair highlighted, but I never keep up with it so it looks funny when I grow it out. It's just not worth it.

Maybe they can put a rinse through or something that enhances yuor natural colour for something different?

Or maybe use highlights closer to your natural shade so that it grows out more 'naturally'?

Or you can just do what Cat does, and dye it purple.

I've done that before. It would match the purple stuff on my bike, though, so it might be worth it.

So we should be expecting to see Mila show up with pink, sparkly hair?

Slipstream rolls of the tongue better than Garmin.

I agree!

Maybe we can get Garmin to change their name to something "rolly."
