so Kristin

February in the Bronx eh?

Yes! It was Feb 10 this year so it should be around the same time. I haven't done it, but I heard it was a good one. There is a 5-borough half-mary series and I've done Manhattan, Staten Island and Queens (that one is horrible).

But I just realized the Manhattan should be at the end of January. That would be fun! Cold, but fun! It's all in Central Park.

sounds like fun!

I think I could totally be ready by then to complete the distance - as long as you're willing to wait for an hour or 2 after you finish to meet up with me

Of course! They are just local races so they haven't put the dates up yet. It's funny that they're local and there are around 5,000 people in them!

it's a date then -

if you can send me the details when they are available, I'll be there

That will be so much fun! It will keep me from turning into a slacker after the mary this week. Hmmmm. Those races are early, but I think it will be just in time for happy hour when we finish!

pretty sure whenever we finish it will be happy hour

TOPPAGE!

kns57 - 2008-10-28 10:03 PM Hello Dark Arts teammates! I'm back!!!

Kendra!

how was Ohio?

Cold, great, I had a super time.

seems like it's cold everywhere

glad you had a great time!

The best part about the trip, besides getting together with good friends, was making my own basket at Longaberger.

Cold I guess was all relative. The person from Michigan was walking around in short sleeves while I was wearing a winter parka. LOL

tlnewman30 - 2008-10-28 10:03 PM I love ice cream as much as the next person, but all the talk about it isn't sitting so well right now.

Oh, sorry Travis. You know, a bunch of triathletes and all, it's so hard not to talk about food! I had a horrible stomach thing last winter and I remember not wanting to even think about it. Hopefully you'll feel better in a matter of days.

Yeah, I think I am at the end of it, but who knows.

Michigan people are nuts!!!! Of course I grew up there and lived there until I was 22, but seriously, I can barely stand the weather there now. I'm spending about 2 weeks in the midwest in December and I'm cold just thinking about it!

I have a friend that grew up in Michigan and grew up in the Upper Peninsula.  He always mocks me when I'm cold.  He *hearts* the snow.  It's not normal.

We had a little "ice cream social" at work tonight.  I am so buzzed on sugar right now that I can hardly see straight.  I might have to run laps around the lab until I come back down to earth!

Everyone brought in different toppings and we made ice cream sundaes.  Chocolate syrup, peanut butter topping, strawberries, nuts, whipped cream, cherries.  Bascially - a big sugar bomb.

I guess I'm carb loaded now!

As much as I love being at work...I think I'm going to call it a night.  Time to go home, crack a brewski, and work on some chemistry homework.

'Morning everyone. Even though I don't work on Wednesdays I have some work to get done this morning. Then I think I need a nap before PT. I'm a little tired and not feeling so hot.

When it warms up a little I'll get my run in, but if it doesn't warm up I will hit the treadmill. They are calling for flurries in the area and I know my lungs can't handle it.

3.5 miles left...gonna have to lay out my warm running stuff now and reward myself with something WARM to drink when I'm done. If I didn't have to work it would include alcohol!

Tomorrow is Miss Thing's 13th birthday....I won't be around once I log in my run.

Happy 13th Birfday to Miss Thing!
