Spent last night at the car dealership getting a new car for hubby.  We are trading in his Blazer (counts as a clunker) and getting him a commute car.  Chevy Cobalt with no frills.  It was a much nicer ride than the Aveo which we also test drove and even though the Aveo had all the bells and whistles, he went for the Cobalt.  No power windows, no keyless entry (which we add later) and no moon roof.  But it had the same stereo, good speakers and got better gas.  And its a manual which we love.

We go back tonight to finish all the paperwork and pick up the car.

Hiya, Nibbs. Thought I'd pop in a second on my way to fold some laundry. Lots of errands today. Grocery shopping, car oil change, dentist, culminating in pizza and movie night at home. Just me and the kiddos. Hubby has a business dinner tonite.

Immediately, I am intrigued - although I am not going to go back and read the post leading up to this one cause I prefer to let my imagination wander around....   :P

Trying to do the same - although I am looking at the Jeep Patriot - trade-in is more than I paid for my clunker 3 years ago

well it didn't make it to 100 degrees today, but it still was a record breaker.  It is currently 94 degrees.   I put shadecloth up on all the windows that get a good bit of sun.  It is amazing how much of a difference it makes.

It may be time for me to resume being a Nibbs regular. TAN is getting on my nerves these days - nothing against TAN, like any group thread, it ebbs and flows, but with the person stuff going on with my Dad's passing and Mom having Stage IV lung/back cancer, I would prefer a more supportive posting environment.

Hope your Mom is OK!
