High school football is pretty bad...unless it's on TV, like in "Friday Night Lights."

If Iowa doesn't win at least 8 games this year with the cremepuff schedule, Ferentz should be fired. I'm sure we can find someone for the $3 million a year he gets that can win 8 games without OSU or UM on the schedule, as is the case this year. I mean, we *should* beat Maine and Florida International and ISU is in Iowa City.

There's absolutely NO reason that we should lose a non-conference game this year.

I was on the Fire KF bandwagon last year.

I'm not confident about this year - but yeah - Maine & Florida Int'l - what a joke!

Its been nice to here, but if I were to move back... only place I'd want to live is Iowa City. DSM has gotten so sprawled out... the shopping and money have abandoned DSM (except for gov't centers and the downtown insurance centers, but there's no shopping downtown)... and its stunning, but its even abandoning parts of West Des Moines where its moved only 10 years ago. DSM only has a big enough market for 1 big fancy mall... Merle Hay is falling apart, and Valley West on 22nd St. in WDM is now showing empty stores that Jordan Creek way the hell out in WDM has opened.

IC is not much better - Old Capitol Center is empty, the ped mall is a ghost town (and Sycamore Mall was empty even when I was there)...there's a monstrous beast of a mall out in west IC/Coralville - I can't remember the name of it, but it has no character (like there was in OC).

But I still heart Iowa.

OK. I have no idea what's going on, but I hereby declare myself "official caught-up."
