Riding circles at the 2-day expo and training walk was actually a lot of fun yesterday. Talked to a lot of walkers and before I knew it 4 hours had gone by. OMG that is 4 hours in the saddle on the bike. Do you want ot know what hurt? Not what you think...my arm from braking so much. Try going slow down a hill trying to stay with a walker. Luckily my arm is good today.

I feel great today.  Allowed myself to sleep in...got my swim in but am facing a long run which may not be as much fun as usual .  Ought to be interesting to see how the legs feel from the ride during the run. I had stopped on my way home yesterday to get gas and must have looked a bit strange doing the downward dog at the gas pump.  Whatever, it helped.

it was awesome!  I just can't really even imagine racing at that level - did I hear right when I heard them say one of the racers is 49?

I missed that part.

My daughter said one of the riders was "breaking wind" ...I had to explain that ITU rules allowed drafting but she cracked me up cause that was really the way she said it!

That doesn't sound like any fun.  I'm still watching the swimming from last night and then I'll catch up on today's coverage.  I love Tivo.

Hi Cat!

I watched a bit of women's cycling today and thought of you....wow....really cool to ride like that but the rain must have made the difficulty of the ride really brutal.

I actually preferred the womens race to the mens.... some of those women who were right up there are well into their 40s AND they have the best bodies! Not tiny rakes... just nice athletic girls... so aweome to see!!

How was your weekend?

Hi Nibbs!

The women's cycling rocked today... I can't imagine staying that focused and competitive in rain like that.

I am on a mission to find DVDs of women's cycling events.  I play DVDs during my cycle classes and the only time we get to see female cyclists are on the IM DVDs I show.  I'd love to have that kind of footage...hardcore girls flying through the rain!
