Did Beth say when she'd be back online? I just checked her log, and it's still blank for today.... I'm glad they added the SWIM back into her event!

Maybe she is off celebrating a successful weekend - at least I hope she is!

I get that feeling when I sign up for big races too.  Then it subsides until right before the race, at which time it returns in the form of "WTF was I thinking?"

Last year I didn' t sleep the night before races I'd get so worked up.  This year I hope to be more relaxed so I can sleep decently.

We had a great time - lots of splashing and sandcastle building. We slept late and ate fun food. (Yes, fun = not terribly good for me). No training yesterday - but I did get a run in when I got back this afternoon. Younger Monkey was a little sick on the trip - she actually fell asleep on the beach yesterday afternoon - but she seems better now. Sugar Daddy pretty much messed up my birthday, but he did manage to get this:

That's cute!   I've seen a ring in the terry catalog with tri symbols but I'm too cheap to payfor it

That's really pretty.  He did a good job on that. 

Haven't heard from Beth...I think I found her times though.  Looks like she did well, but I don't know what she was shooting for.

Go for it!!  You can totally do it.   

Just heard that someone died on the Hy Vee course today.  He got pulled out during the swim.  So sad. 

Hope Beth is doing ok after that.

Only if I can eat LD on the side and cheer for you while you race.
