When and where is that one? Virginia Beach RNR Half Marathon? That would be fun but I think that one conflicts with something. I need to look again. No, one in November here in Asheville, NC Edited by ceilidh 2010-02-17 6:55 AM |

Fear is something that is inside of you, right? If it is inside of you that means that YOU are bigger than IT is, so YOU CAN conquer it!!! Definatly. It comes from about 50 years of low self esteem. If I am running (or even crawling) I am doing better than most. It just is hard to remember that on race day. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are taking off the pounds in February!!! I also signed up for a race a month to keep me running. I tend to focus on one sport, then let the others lag behind. (note the lat time I swam for example). |

No one running is going to care if you are slow. Do you really care what the people who are sitting on the side of the road who aren't even brave enough to enter a race think? Those 50 years are in the past. Don't live in the past, it distracts from the now! There is an entire village that KNOWS you can do it. We may not be there when you run but we will always be cheering for you! Don't think about the other people when you're running. Think about the crazy conversations that have taken place RIGHT HERE! Before you know it the race will be over. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are taking off the pounds in February!!! I am planning on doing a bunch of riding on the BR Parkway. At least the traffic there is limited to cars. I am also going to take some day trips to the flat part of NC to ride on roads that aren't as curvy (or hilly for that matter). |

Mostly, but there is still a lot of drifting. I wanted to run last night but it was so windy and the snow was just whipping everywhere. That stuff stings when it hits you in the face. I'm going to go to the gym tonight and run on the treadmill to get some miles in. I don't know when I'll be able to get my bike out. They are calling for more junk on Monday and Tuesday. Maybe all snow, but it could be snow/sleet/freezing rain ice junk. |

Put my cross tires on her and she rode beautifully! Have a great evening! My you've been productive lately Bill! Hope you have many miles of fun with the freshly modified bike. Will the cross tires make her faster, or did you just want a different feel? They are slower than my typical summer commuter wheels but the bike is overall faster than the mountain bike I have been riding all winter so far. I felt like superman and I wasn't even going that fast Have to get used to the different gear ratio also! Morning Superman Bill. |
