Steve ,

How many members are on each team.  I guess I could go into each thread and check it out myself but I'm just  thinking that  you might already have that info.

If I recall from last year the Florida Stinking Fish or the atlanta group only had a few members and once one of them finally updated ther log they jumped way ahead. Wondering if each team  have about the same number of people.

I don't have the exact count.  There is one other team that is close to the same # of team members as we have.  But there are also a couple of smaller teams.  I've struggled with how the make up of these teams could be done better.  ie. it seems more likely that  a large team would have 1 or more members not make their goal.  I guess that's where the team aggregate comes in.  i.e. if a team of 4 has 1 member not make their goal this affects them more than if a team of 20 has 1 member not make their goal.

27 more k to go - too lofty of a goal. That's 6 workouts of 5k each. I have 4 or 5 workouts planned next week... let's see.

I did 45km in the last week of last year, but there aren't as many workouts. I would be exhausting myself to do this.

Only 1K to go wich will be done on the 27 or 28. I did an "Elly "distance (3.2K) friday. That gave a big boost in my stats nearing me at 92%. So, everybody enjoy the hollidays and the workouts that will surely follow (calories people calories)!!!

Finally managed to hit the pool for the first time this week -oops. Honest, I've tried but the pools keep on being shut. I should be able to knock the remaining yardage off with one more swim, the only trouble is sussing out when that is.

Merry xmas all, go Canada.

PS Jordan have you tried that haggis yet?

Spreadsheet Updated

As mentioned - this is the last week folks so pull strong!  As a team we are at 79.70% of our goal.  22.73% of us have already reached 100%.  Our teams aggregate percentage is 51.21%.

Many of us are within reach of our goals so push hard to complete this week.  For those of you who are behind in your goal for whatever reason I hope you can get in a few more swims this week.  Each meter/yard/minute closer to your goal might make the difference!

Steve

Just enjoying my post swim Starbucks.  Reward for completing the December Swim Challenge.  I swam 3km this morning.  I didn't need to go quite this far to complete my goal but Chipit mentioned swimming an "Elly" a while back and I thought it was about 3k so that was my goal.  Now having reread Chip's post the "official" Elly distace might be 3.2k!

Swim on you Crazy Canucks.

haha  you guys are cute!  I too, hope to swim close to an "Elly" distance tonight to finish off my goal.  The way things are going right now I will have a lot of frustration to take out on the water.  I am having a most horrible day at work and was kept up until 4 in the morning yesterday/today by my annoying upstairs neighbours.  It angers me just thinking about it.  Can't wait to swim!!

Great job everyone!

I finished up my challenge this morning with a 1500 m work out at the pool. I am so thrilled that I've been able to keep in the game with this challenge, and even my week away from home didn't throw off my game.

Looking forward to hearing about the results!

sorry guys.. i was trying to get a swim done yesterday, but the pool was closed so it didn't happen.  Tomorrow is another day though, and I am trying my very hardest to get ahead with work today so that I can leave early tomorrow to get to the pool.  I only have a small distance to get done, and I can do it all in one session.  Don't worry, I'll hit 100%.

Great work to all those who have finished.  December is probably one of the hardest months to predict how much time to dedicate to training.

I didn't know we were allowed to 'share' yardage with other team members. I think I'd have to live in the pool from now till New Years to get in the distance 'So Fresh So Clean' has as a goal!!

Maybe I should sit on street corner with my hat in hand and try to get some extra yards....December was a terrible month to try this challenge thingy....oh well...live and learn....

ps. I am now the proud owner of 5 cases of anti-bacterial hand lotion. Never again will I get a cold! I swear it's being in IT and using other people's keyboards....their breeding grounds for things like the plague and such! :-)
